CALL TO ORDER:
Mary Ward called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. The minutes from June 28, 2007
were put before the Board for approval. Billie Green, Jr. made the motion to
approve the minutes and Elmer Emory seconded the motion. Minutes were
approved unanimously.
Billie Lee Green, Jr., a new member for the Park Board, was sworn in.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Report from Larry Ballard on Fountain Park Area
Larry Ballard gave an update on the status of park proposal brought before the
Park Board on June 28, 2007.
2. Report from Lease Committee.
Elmer Emory presented a draft of the Lease to the Park Board. Representatives
from the Boys Club and YMCA were present. There were still some concerns
on several items in the Lease. The Lease Committee will do some more work
on it and will bring a draft back at a later date.
3. Report from Park Board Ad Hoc Committee.
Gene Strouth let the Park Board know that it is slow going and Mary Ward
suggested the Committee be changed from an Ad Hoc Committee to an Open
Committee.
