Resolution authorizing the City Manager to make application for a
grant from the Office of the Governor, Public Safety Office, Criminal
Justice Division, FY 2023 ALERRT Travel Assistance in the amount of
$2,300.00
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is eligible to apply for a non-matching grant,
from the Office of the Governor, Public Safety Office, Criminal Justice Division FY 2023
ALERRT Travel Assistance in the amount of $2,300.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls City Council finds it in the best interest of the citizens
of Wichita Falls, that the City Manager applies for the reimbursement of incurred agency
cost from the Office of the Governor, Public Safety Office to be offered for FY 2023; and,
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls City Council agrees that in the event of loss or
misuse of funding from the Office of the Governor, Public Safety Office, the Wichita Falls
City Council assures that the funds will be returned to the Office of the Governor in full;
and,
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls City Council designates Darron Leiker, City
Manager, as the grantee's authorized official. The authorized official is given the power
to apply for, accept, reject, alter, or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to make application for a non-matching
grant from the Office of the Governor, Public Safety Office, Criminal Justice Division FY
2023 Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Travel
Assistance, grant #4712501 in the amount of$2,300.00.
