HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CIT OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS On the 13tb, day of April, 2000 at 3:00 p.m. the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas met in the Board Room, at 501 Webster Street. Present: J.L. Watkins Wilbert Boston Mary Parham Absent: Gail Cunningham Pat Nelson Others: Richard E. Schneider,Gary Baker, Julie Steadman, Danny Quintero, Al Bush and Lori Miller There being a quorum present the meeting was called to order by Chairman Watkins and the following business was transacted. The minutes of the February 20th, 2000 were voted on. With no corrections, additions or deletions Chairman Watkins made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Commissioner Parham seconded the motion Ayes: All Nayes: None Chairman Watkins declared the minutes approved and then announced Resolution 1304— Approve Income Limits. Resolution 1304 Approve Income Limits WHEREAS, it is mandated by the Housing and Urban Development that we update our Income Limits on a yearly basis. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we approve the Income Limits set forth by HUD. After review and discussion Commissioner Boston made a motion to accept Resolution 1304 as presented. Commissioner Parham seconded the motion. . 4 Chairman Watkins declared Resolution 1304 approved and then announced Resolution 1305 — Approve Units for Weed & Seed and Reaffirm Non Dwelling Units of Police Sub-Stations, Day Care Center and Resident Centers. Resolution 1305 Approve Units for Weed & Seed and Confirm Non Dwelling Units of Police Sub—Stations, Day Care,and Resident Centers WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Housing Authority has removed from their dwelling units 17 units to be occupied by agencies. WHEREAS, the following are to be confirmed. 1305 Mill Street Resident Center July 1997 109 A—Whitney Police Sub Station May 1999 202 D &E East Wichita Police Association February 2000 806 A &B Juarez Resident Center July 1997 805 B &C Juarez Police Department June 1999 209 A,B,C,D,E,and F—East Wichita Day Care Center Sept. 1974 and Sept. 1994 WHEREAS, the following are to be approved. 805 A-D & E Juarez Weed and Seed THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the above units are confirmed and approved. After review and discussion Commissioner Boston made a motion to approve Resolution 1305. Commission Parham seconded the motion. Chairman Watkins declared Resolution 1305 approved and then announced Resoltuion 1306 — which has been voided. He then announced Resolution 1307 — Approve Resident Application. Resolution 1306 Lease VOID RESOLUTION Resolution 1307 Approve Resident Application WHEREAS, it is necessary that the Housing Authority updates the Application of Admission occasionally. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners approve the changes. After review and discussion Commissioner Boston made a motion to accept Resolution 1307 as presented. Commissioner Parham seconded the motion. Chairman Watkins declared Resolution 1307 approved and then announced Accounts Receivable — Write Offs, Investments, Sheppard Field Account, and Equipment Write Offs. After review and discussion Commissioner Boston made a motion to accept Write Offs, Investments, and the Sheppard Field Account as presented. Commissioner Parham seconded the motion. Chairman Watkins declared Write Offs, Investments, and the Sheppard Field Account approved. Other Business/Executive Director's Report: Richard Schneider announced that the trials for Lubin Moise and James Hall are set for May, Geothermo Heating and Air Conditioning has been installed in the main office and will start Mill Street next week, and that Shade Tree has installed an under- ground drip system to help save the trees.
