The October meeting of the Wichita Falls Traffic Safety Commission was called to
order by Chairman Ronnie Awtry at 1:38 P.M.
Brad Altman gave the invocation.
The financial report and minutes for September were accepted and approved as
written.

The accident statistics were circulated for review. Lt. Karl Lillie discussed the
current top 10 accident areas. Officers are being assigned to work those areas to try to
reduce the number of accidents.
City Traffic Report
Mr. John Burrus reported that there is nothing new to report.
State Traffic Report
Mr. Clyde Williford reported that there is nothing new to report.
Unfinished Business
Item 00-04: Commission Workshop
Elaine Bourgoin suggested that the item be tabled until the January meeting.
There is no meeting scheduled for December and new officers will take office in January.
Commission members agreed. Item to remain open.
New Business
Item 00-05: Fall Safety Patrol Activity
Item to remain open due to Trooper Clement's absence.
Item 00-06: Appointment of Nomination Committee
Chairman Awtry appointed Brad Altman,Jody Wade, and Henry Oliver to
serve as the nominating committee. Nominations will be presented at the November
meeting for the chairperson and co-chairperson.
Items of Discussion
None.
There being no further business before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned
at 2:05 P.M.
