VISITORS
The March meeting of the Wichita Falls Traffic Safety Commission was called to
order by Chairman Ronnie Awtry at 1:45 P.M.
Mr. Awtry gave the invocation.
Chairman Ronnie Awtry welcomed Lt. Karl Lillie as the new representative from
the Wichita Falls Police Department. He is replacing Lt. Fred Smith due to
rearrangements at the department.
The financial report and minutes for January were accepted and approved as
written.

New Business
Item 00-01: Commission Membership
Elaine Bourgoin advised the commission that the agenda for the March 21st
meeting of the City Council will include appointments for the positions vacant on the
commission. Districts 2, 5, and the At-Large positions are vacant. There are not many
applications on file. Members were encouraged to solicit citizens interested in those
districts who would be interested in serving on the commission.
Items of Discussion
Don Vann advised that several schools are in need of new vests for the safety patrol
program. He has been searching for the best prices but will need approximately $200 -
$250 for the purchase. Members voted to approve the expenditure from the commission
funds. Mr. Vann will proceed with the purchase.
There being no further business before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned
at 2:30 P.M.

East parking lot on 6th St. entrance. Spanish language interpreters,
