November 22nd, 1920.
THE Board of Aldermen met in regular session on the abore
date for the transaction of the business of the City with Mayor Pro-tem W. S.
Curlee presiding and Aldermen Bonner, Shepherd, Bralley and City Clerk Thorburn,
in attendance.
The following letter was then submitted to the Board of
Aldermen.

City Commissions of Wichita Falls,
Wichita Falls, Texas.
Gent lemen:
We propose to furnish one Elgin Street Sweeper complete with
electric lights and gutter sweeper, for the net dum of 47,500,00, f. o . b.
factory, Elgin, Ill.
We will refund the city any drop in price for a period of
six months.
We agree to take in old sweeper at 0750.00, or will furnish
repair parts for old sweeper and have our service man put old sweeper in servio-
able condition free of charge, if city decides not to tarn in old sweeper.

We agree to furnish a factory demonstrator for five days free
of charge.
Terms, cash on day of acceptance of Elgin Sweeper, by city
of Wichita Falls, less 1%. Acceptance to be made after five days demonstration.

After some discussion it was moved by Alderman Shepherd that
this proposal be accepted and that the City keep the Old sweeper which was to be
put in working order at the expense of the Elgin Sweeper Co
which motion was seconded by Alderman Bonner and Carried.
Moved by Alderman Shepherd that a refund of Selo for
duplicate payment of Sewer Rent be made to E. D. Rackard which motion was sec-
onded by Alderman Bonner and carried.
ORDINANCE 334.
"An Ordinance regulating travel and traffic on the street
and sidewalks of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, providing a penalty and declae
ring an emergency"
was on motion of Alderman Bonner seconded by Alderman Bralley
put on its second reading and passed by the following vote:-
Yeas:- Alderman Bonner, Bralley, Shepherd.
Nayes:- None.

"An Ordinance repealing an Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance
prohibiting the _arking of vehicles for a longer period of one hour between the
hours of 8 A. M. and 6 P. M. etc"
Passed and approved on the 23rd day of September A. D. 1920
and being Ordinance 310.
