Min 05/19/1921 Bids were then opened for the paving of portions of various Streets and were turned over to the City Engineer for tabulation, and to be returned to the Board at 10 A. M., Wednesday morning May 18th, 1921, when same would be consid- ered by the Board. The Board of Aldermen then recessed until 10 A. M. May 18th, 1921. Morgan Building, May 18th, 1921. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular adjourned session on the above date with the following present:- W. D. Cline, Mayor W. G. Bralley, 0 W. S. Curlee 0 ALDERMEN J. F. Reed 0 R. E. Shepherd 0 Geo. W. Thorburn, City Clerk. Moved by Alderman Curlee that Dr. J. Reed, be authorized to pur- ohase Blks. 34 and 35, Barwise and Jaloniok Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, for a tourist Park, provided that satisfactory terms can be made, which motion was seconded by Alderman Bralley, and carried. Moved by Alderman Curlee that all the bids for pavement submitted by contractors be rejeoted, which motion was seconded by Alderman Bralley and carried. Moved by Alderman Reed that W. S. Curlee and W. G. Bralley be author- ized to make necessary ohanges in the City Hall to a000modate the Engineering %`% Department, and Police Department, which motion was seconded by Alderman Shenherd,and carried. ###### ` The Board of Alderman then recessed until 10 A. Mewed by Dr. Reed, that the Long Bell Lumber Co., be refunded City Tax on $5000.00 this tax having been paid at Electra Texas and also aE Wichita Falls, which motion was seconded by Alderman Curlee and parried. 224 ORDINANCE 367 "AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE CITY 6'LERK TO ADVERTISE FOR RIDS NOR IMP- ROVEMENT OF THE CEMETERY BY INSTALLATION OF CURBS AND GUTTERS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY". Moved by Alderman Curiae, seconded by Alderman Bonner that the rules requiring ordinances to be read on three separate days be suspended. Motion carried by following vote: Yeas: Bralley, Bonner, Shepherd, Curies, Reed. Nayes: None. Moved by Alderman Curiae seconded by Alderman Bonner, that Ordinance 367 be finally passed. Motion carried by following vote:- Yeas: Bralley, Banner, Shepherd, Curies, Reed. Nayes: None. #### ORDINANCE 368 "AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS Fai THE IMPROVEMENT OF PORTIONS OF OHIO AVE, INDIANA AVE, SIXTH, FIFTEENTH, HOLLIDAY AND ELIZABETH STREETS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY". Moved by Alderman Curiae, seconded by Alderman Bonner that the rule requiring ordinances to be read on three separate days be suspended. Motion oarried by following vote:- Yeas: Bonner, Bralley, Ourlee, Reed, Shepherd. Nayes: None. Moved by Alderman Curiae seconded by Alderman Bonner that Ordinance 668 be finally passed.
