Min 06/06/1921 Morgan Building, ?ichita Palls, Texas. June 6th, 1921. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular session on the above date with the following present:- W. D. Cline, Mayor W. S. Curlee ) ( W. N. Bonner ) J. F. Reed ) ALDERMEN ( W. G. Bralley ) { R. E. Shepherd ) Geo. W. Thorburn, City Clerk. Moved by Alderman Bonner "That inasmuch as Linn Boyd has failed to qualify as a member of the Equilization Board, and that the Mayor has appointed in his place N. 0. Monroe, who has qualified, that the appointment of N. 0. Monroe, as a member of the Equalization Board be hereby ratified and approved, which motion, was seconded by alderman Bralley, and carried. ########## # Moved by Alderman Shepherd that A. J. King be permitted to install a Gasoline Filling Station at 712 Jaloniok Street under thq usual provisions, to-wit:- That the said A. J. King, his successors and assigns, legal repres- entatives and administrators hold the City harmless from any damages that may arise from the installation of said Gasoline Filling Station, that the instal- lation be made under the instructions and supervision of the City Engineer and the said Gasoline Filling Station be removed at once when requested by the City Council, which motion was seconded by Alderman Bonner and carried. r #fr## ORDINANCE 371. • "AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON FIRM, OR CORPORATION ENGAGED IN THE GAR';GE BUSINESS OR THE REPAIRING OF MOTOR VEHICLES TO PARK OR RANK ANY AUTOMOBILE OR MOTOR VEHICLE WHICH HAS BEEN T,EnT, KEPT OR HELD FOR STOR- AGE REPAIR, LUBRICATION, WASHING OR ANY KIND 02 REPAIR WORK ON ANY STREET AllEY OR PUBLIC SQUARE IN FRONT OF ANY PERSONS RESIDENCE OR PLACE OF BUSINESS WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE OWNER OR OCCUPANT OF SUCH PROPERTY, PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY". was on motion of Alderman Reed, seconded by Alderman Shepherd placed on its first reading and carried by following vote: Yeas: Bonner, Reed, Bralley, Shepherd. Hayes: None. Alderman Curlee, had been called home for sickness. ORDINANCE 372 "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOB THE COLLECTION AND DI SPOSAL OF TRASH AND GARBAGE, PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN FEES THAT MAY BE CHARGED FOR HAULING SAID AND REQUIRING ANY ONE SO ENGAGED TO GET A PERMIT AND GIVE A BOND, PROVIDING POR A PENALTY AND AN EMERGENCY". was on motion of DR. Reed, seconded by Alderman Shepherd, placed on its first reading and passed by following vote: Yeas: Bonner, Bralley, Shepherd, Reed. Hayes: None. 232 Moved by Dr. Reed, that: Dr Daniels, Dr. Lee Mrs Glover, be appointed as members of the Health Board, which motion was seconded by Alderman Bonner and carried. ############## Moved by Alderman Bonner that all the bids submitted for paving be referred to the City Engineer and all the bids for curbs in the Cemetery be referred to Dr. Reed for tabulation, and that the Board of Aldermen,recess until 10 A. M. Wednesday 8th day of June 1921, which motion was seconded by Aldermen Bralley and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned until Wednesday Morning, June 8th, at 10, A. Whitham & Co., to accept the assessment certificates covering Lot 3, Block 34, - 529.12 in lieu of the 5% maintenance fund, which motion was seconded by Alderman Bralley, and carried. ### # `###### ###### Moved by Alderman Reed, that the bid submitted by C. H. Foley for installation of curbs and gutters in Cemetery be accepted, which motion was seconded by Alderman Bonner and carried. #r# ####e#Pr`3`m##### The Board of Aldermen then went into executive session to discuss matters allowed by the Charter to be discussed in executive session. The Board of Aldermen then went out of Executive session. #####/-###,f#### • Moved by Alderman Curlee that the bid for paving Ohio Street with re-enforced concrete submitted by the Plains Paving Co., be accepted, which motion was seconded by Alderman Bonner and carried. ##-it H##it#### Moved by Alderman Curlee that the bids submitted by L.
