Min 08/30/1921 WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable to enter into said contracts upon the terms set forth therein, and for the compensation therein provided. THEREFORE, be it Resolved by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls: 1. That. the City of Wichita Falls do enter into contracts with the Texas Bitulithic Company, binding the City to do and perform all the work of excavation shown in said contract , and on the said street, begin a separate contract for each of the said portions of the street above set forth, at and for the prices and upon the terms therein stipulated and set forth. 2. That the said contract is hereby approved and adopted, and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute and sign the said con- tract in the name of the city. 3. Nayes: None. ###################### ORDINANCE 386 "AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ANY PERSON FIRM OR CORPORATION FROM GOING UPON ANY SIDEWALK IN TEE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, OR UPON ANY PLATFORM OF ANY RAILROAD COMPANY AT OR NEAR ANY RAILROAD STATION AND SOLICITING PATRONAGE FOR ANY HOTEL INN OR BOARDING HOUSE OR FOR ANY PERSON ENGAGED IN THE SERVICE CAR, TRANSFER OR BAGGAGE BUSINESS. AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY". Was on motion of Alderman Curlee, seconded by Alderman Fitts, placed on its second reading and passed by following vote: Yeas: Curlee, Fitts, Reed. Naves: None, RESOLUTION Whereas, contract in writing between the City of Wichita Falls, and Texas Bitulit hic Company, being one contract for the improvement of the foll- owing street in said City, to-wit: Filmore Street, from the North property line of Avenue "F" to the North property line of Avenue "G" together with construction bonds and maintenance bonds required by each of said contracts, are this day presented to the Board of Aldermen for adoption and approval; and, Whereas, the bid of Texas Bitulithic Company for the making and construction of the improvements provided for in the said contracts, has after due advertisement and notice, been made and upon the opening of the bids said con- tracts were awarded to the said company; and, Whereas, it is deemed necessary to set aside and provide, for the payment of all that portion of the cost required in each of the said con- tracts to be paid for by the City of Wichita Falls: Therefore, be it resolved by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, that there be and is hereby set aside and appropriated out of the funds abailable for that purpose, the sum of $2,000.16 to pay and defray all that portion of the cost of improving said portion of Filmore Street to be paid for by the City of Wichita Falls; The said contracts and the construction bonds and maintenance bonds being one contract for said street, and one construction bond and one maintenance bond for said street, be and the same are hereby approved and adop- ted, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute and sign the said contracts and each of them, in the name of the City. That this resolution take effect from and after its passage. ##### ## ### Moved by Aldermen Curiae that the trade made by Alderman Reed, and the County Comnissionere to balthe Call Field equipment for $10600.00 be hereby ratified and approved. Motion seconded by Alderman Bonner and carried. • Moved by Alderman Fitts that the City Attorney be requested to give a written opinion on the course of action to be taken in requiring the Wichita Falls Electric Company to install light service in Scotland Addition.
