The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
met in regular session on the above date with the following present;-

Upon motion of Commissioner Bonner, seconded by Commissioner
Curlee and carried by the following vote;
Yeas: Bonner, Curlee, Fitts and Reed.
Hayes: None, and it is ordered by the Board of Aldermen
of the City of Wichita Falls:
1. That the Wichita Falls Electric Company, a corporation,
having a franchise to furnish electric current in the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, and to use the streets and alleys of the City for the purpose of erect-
ing its poles and wires and being the only company in said city furnishing such
service and having a franchise, be and it is hereby required to forthwith ex-
tend its service from its present extension at Broadway and 10th Streets Scot-
land addition, in a Southerly direction to the alley between 9th and loth
Streets: Thence east down said alley oneblock and west down said alley one
block to serve all houses with electric current the rear of which abuts upon
said alley, it appearing to the Council that there are now about twenty houses
to be sdfved by this extension, about twelve of which are already wired.
2. It is further ordered that said Company be and it is
hereby required to extend said service south on Broadway Street a distance of
one block to the alley between North 9th and North 8th Streets; thence both
East and West down said alley a distance of one block in either direction to
serve the houses now erected, the back ends of which abut upon said alley,
it appearing to the council that there are now about twenty houses now so
erected, about twelve of which are ready to take said service.
3. It is further ordered that said company be and it is here-
by required to extend its main lines South on North Broadway Street to the ally
between North 5th and North 6th Streets and
4. Further that when as many as six residents in Block 16
have had their houses properly wired so that service can be extended to them
from the alley between North 7th and North 8th Streets have made application
in the usual way according to the rules of said company for service, it app-
earing that there are now only about seven houses in said Block 16, then and
thereupon the said company is required to extend its service to said six or
more houses.
5. And it is further ordered in the same manner and upon
the same terms and conditions that whenever the residents of Block 15, 17,
18, 23 or 24, shall have six houses properly wired, so that service can be
extended to them from the alley at the vack of such houses and six or more of
the residents of said blocks or any of them shall have made application to
said company under its rules for service then and thereupon be and it is here-
by required to extend its said service upon the usual terms to such six or
more applicants.
It is so ordered.

Moved by Alderman Bonner that L. B. Gray be permitted to
open a Grocery store at 2208 Ave F in the building formerly operated as a
Garage on the condition that the owner of the property and said L. B. Gray
sign a contradt with the City of Wichita Falls, that said Grocery Store will
be closed and removed, when said removal is requested by the Board of Aldermen
Motion seconded by Alderman Reed and carried.

RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE IMPROVEMENTS ON NINTH STREET FROM
ITS INTERSECTION WITH THE W. P. LINE OF DENVER STREET, TO ITS INTERSECTION
100 FEET WEST OF W. P. LINE OF TAYLOR STREET AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO ISSUE CERTIFICATES OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENT IN EVIDENCE OP THE SPECIAL
ASSESSMENT LEVIED AGAINST THE VARIOUS LOTS OR TRACTS OF LAND AND THE OWNERS
THEREOF ABUTTING UPON SAID PORTION OF SAID STREET.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERIa;EN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS:
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls,
has heretofore ordered that Ninth Street, from its intersection with the West
Property line of Denver Street, to its intersection with the 100 feet West of
West property line of Taylor Street, be improved by raising, grading and fill-
ing the same and installing concrete curbs and gutters and paving same, and
after dna notice and hearing special assessments were levied against the var-
ious lots and tracts of land and the owners thereof abutting upon the said
portion of said Street, and contract for the making and construction of the safl
improvements was entered into with Texas Bitulithic Company; and,
WHEREAS, the said Texas Bitulithic Company has fully perform
its said contract and the said improvements have been made and constructed in
accordance with the said contract and the specifications therefor, and to the
entire satisfaction of this Board;
1.
That the said improvements on said portion of said street be
and the same are hereby accepted and the said Texas Bitulithic Compere y, and
the sureties on its construction bond are hereby released of any further obl-
igations for or on account of the contract or bond for the making and const-
ructing of the said improvements.
11.
That this resolution does not and shall not in say wise affect
the bond of the said company for the maintenance of the said improvements, but
such maintenance bond shall and does remain in fall force and effect.
III.
That the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby author-
ized, instructed, and directed to issue to the Texas Bitulithic Company cer-
tificates of special assessment in evidence of the various assessments levied
against the respective lots and parcels of land abutting upon the said portion
of said street, and the owners thereof, and against which special assessments
have been levied, reciting the description of such property, the amount of the
assessments against same, the owner thereof, the terms of payment thereof, the
rate of interest, the date of completion and acceptance of the said improvements
the lien of the said assessment and the personal obligation and liability of
the owner of the property and reciting that all proceedings with reference to
making such improvements have been regularly had in compliance with the law,
the Charter of said City, and the terms of the certificate, and that all pre-
quisities to the fixing of a lien and claim of personal liability evidenced by
the certificates have been performed, and containing other appropriate and
pertinent recitals, and in accordance with the contract with the said company
and the law in force in this city, and the proceedings of this Board.
IV.
This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage.

Moved by Alderman Bonner that John Martin, who has been
acting as assistant City Attorney be paid $75.00 for his fifteen days service.
Motion seconded by Alderman Reed, and carried.

Moved by Alderman Bonner that the thanks of the Board of
Aldermen be extended to John Martin for the very efficient service he has
rendered the City.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitts, and carried.

Moved by Alderman Curley that the City Clerk be instructed
to mail a copy of the opinion rendered by the City Attorney on paving matters
and presented to the Council at this meeting, to all property owners who are
refusing to pave.
Motion seconded by Alderman Reed and carried.

"AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TRAVEL AND TRAFFIC ON THE STREETS
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY AND DECLARING An
EMERGENCY".
was on motion of Alderman Bonner, seconded by Alderman Fitts
placed on its third and final reading and carried by the following vote:-
Yeas: Curley, Bonner, Reed, Fitts.
Hayes; None.
