Min 09/26/1921 Morgan Building, Wiohita Falls,Texas. September 26th, 1921. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas met in regular session on the "above date with the following present:- W. N. Bonner, Mayor Pro-tem W. S. Curlee r R. E. Shepherd [ J. F. Reed f ALDERMEN J. B. Fitts d Geo W. Thorburn, City Clerk ################### A representative of the Central Trades and Labor Counoil then addressed the Board on behalf of a "Disarmament parade" to be staged on November llth. No action taken but City Clerk was instructed to bring same up at next meeting. ######## %':## Moved by Alderman Fitts, that the Mears Gasoline Co., be permitted to move a gasoline filling station from 622 Ohio to 618 Ohio, under the usual conditions to-wit:- That the said Mears Gasoline Co., its successors and assigns legal representatives and administrators hold the City harmless from any damages that may arise from the removing of said gasoline filling station from 622 Ohio Avenue, and the installation of said Gasoline Filling Station at 618 Ohio, Avenue and that removal and installation be made under the supervision and according to the instructions of the City Engineer, and that said gasoline fill- ing station be removed at once whenever such removal is requested by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas. Motion seconded by Alderman curls. and carried. #######r###### Moved by Alderman Fitts, that public notice of the fact that in future it will be the policy of the Board of Alderman of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, to refuse permits for the installation of Gasoline Filling Stations in the built up business sections of the City. Motion seconded by Alderman Curlee and carried. ############## Moved by Alderman Reed that C. H. Reid, C. C. Willard, Harry Naylor, be appointed as a commit#ee to investigate and report to the Board of Aldermen as to the safety of the Building on the S. E. corner of Scott and Tenth Streets. Motion seconded by Alderman Shepherd, and carried. ############# Mowed by Alderman Shepherd that E. F. Albritton be refunded $62.27 excess taxes paid on Lot 21, Block 3, Grant subdivision of the Original townsite of Wichita Falls. Motion seconded by Alderman Fitts and carried. ############# Moved by Alderman Shepherd that the Tax Rolls for the year 1921, submitted by the City Tax Assessor and amounting to $34,758.590.00 and showing amount of taxes to be collected as $676992.30 be approved.
