The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls Texas,
met in adjourned joint session with the Commissioners Court of Wichita County
Texas at the Court House on the above date with the folloiiing present;-

The Joplin Construction CO., asked that their bid be red-
uced to 401,700.00 or t3,000.00 less than the one submitted.
Louis Jernigan was called in and again made his proposition
to build at cost plus 10% but waild not give bond or guarantee the cost at any
specified amount.

A representative of Hanger & Chambers whose bid of )99900.00
was the lowest for the construction of th "ng was then called in and he
made a propositionto build the Hospital forA 20 d give a bond guaranteeing that
the building would not cast more than 099900.00 and that they furnish all equip-
ment free, all equipment being worn out or lost to be their lose and that they
receive 25% of any amount less than 099900.00 if it costs less than that amount
to complete the building.
Mr Joplin of the Joplin Construction Co., was then called in
and made a proposition to build the Hospital for to plus cost and guarantee by
bond that the cost of the building would not be over his bid of $101,700.00 or
he would build for e% plus cost if his loss on the building, if any, would be
limited to the e%.
It was then moved by J. B. Fitts that all bids be rejected.
Motion seconded byt Lee prescott and parried by unanimous vote.

Moved by Lee Prescott that pat Murphy the County Auditor be
authorized to re-advertise for bide for the construct ion of additions to and ext-
ensions of the General Hospital. — —'
Motion seconded by J. B. Fitts and carried by unanimous vote.
The Meeting then adjourned

"AN ORDINANCE ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT OF FRONT STREET FROM
INDIANA AVENUE TO OHIO AVENUE, DESIGNATING THE MATERIALS AND METHOD OF IMPROVE-
MENT AND PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF BY CONTRACT, AND PROVIDING FOR
THE PAYMENT OF THE COST OF SUCH IMPROVEMENTS, LEVYING ASSESSMENTS THEREFORE AND
FIXING THE TERMS AND TIMES OF PAYMENT AND THE RATE OF INTEREST THEREON, AND PRO-
VIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF ASSIGNABLE CERTIFICATES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY".
was on motion of Alderman Reed seconded by Alderman Fitts
placed on its first reading and passed by following vote:-
