The Board of Aldermen of the City of n chita Falls,Texas met in regular session on the above date with the following present:- Frank Collier, Iayor J. F. Reed 6 N. M. Clifford Burton Stayton 6 ALDER/NAG J. B. Fitts R. E. Shepherd 6 Geo. W; Thorburn, City Clerk ################# ORDINANCE 407 "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING LNTER READING BY THOSE PUBLIC UTILITIES WHICH BELL THEIR COMMODITIES THROUGH METERS OR METERING DEVICES: PROVIDING FOR THE HANDLING OF CERTAIN COMPLAINTS AGAINST SUCH UTILITIES AND PROVIDING A PENALTY". Was on motion of Alderman Fitts seconded by Alderman Clifford was placed on its second reading and passed by the following vote:- Yeas: Reed, Stayton, Clifford, Fitts,,Shepherd. Nayes: None. ###########A## Moved by Alderman Clifford that Dimock be permitted to install a temporary telephone line down the alley be ween Brook and McGoeg- or Streets provided that the line in crossing the main street shall be at least 20 feet high and that said telephone line will be removed at once when Dimock receives service from the Telephone Co., thro' its regular lines, and that said line will be removed at onee when renuest for removal is made by the Board of Aldermen. Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and carried. ############# The Mayor then appointed Commissioner Stayton to act with Dr. ,.alker, Dr. Lee and the County Commissioners regarding certain changes in the construction of the new Hospital building. ##########. Moved by Alderman Fitts that the Wilhite Way Lights be turned off at 2 A. M. every day. Motion seconded by Alderman Clifford and carried. ############### Moved by Alderman Shepherd that the City Clerk and City Auditor make such arrangements as soon as possible, so that collections of all fees shall be made thro the City Clerk's office. Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and carried. ############### Moved by Alderman Fitts that the Tax Assessor make arrange- ments to collect delinenent sewer rents. V Motion seconded by Alderman Reed and carried. #########i#### Moved by Alderman Fitts that the City Attorney Fo ahead with any proceedings necessary to collect bill for damage to the cheaioal wagon. Motion seconded by Alderman Clifford and carried. ######m##### Moved by Alderman Clifford that J. A. Norman be permitted to operate a grocery store on Lot 6, Block 101, Floral Heights Addition under the usual conditions. Motion seconded by Alderman Shepherd and carried. 418 Moved by Alderman Fitts that the Mayor attend the Conven- tion of the League of Texas Municipalities to be held at Texarkana on May 17th.
