May 8th 1922 The Board of Aldermen of the City of :ichita Falls,Texas, met in regular session on the above date with the following present:- Frank Collier, layer J. F. Reed N. M. Clifford J. B. Fitts Aldermen Burton Stayton R. E. Shepherd 0 Geo. Thorburn, City Clerk ############## Ordinance 407 came up for its third and final reading and after a general discussion between the Council, Luther Hoffman and Pete Rogers it was decided that no action would be taken until the next regular meeting. ############## The Council then went into executive session to discuss those matters that may be considered in executive session. The Council then went out of executive session. #########i H# Moved by Alderman Fitts that E.9t. Gipson be appointed special prosecuting Attorney in the Corporation Court at a salary of ''175.00 per month. Motion seconded by Alderman Reed and carried. ########U###H Moved by Alderman Shepherd that the salary of Carrie Waldrip be reduced to $100,00 per month. Motion seconded by. Alderman Clifford and carried. ######H ##### Moved by Alderman Fitts that Judge Chauncey be appointed City Recorder at a salary of $125.00 per month. Motion seconded by Alderman 'Shepherd and carried. ############## Moved by Alderman Shepherd that E. M. Mann be given the collection of delinquent City taxes as per contract, and that his salary be reduced to $150.00 per month and that he be relieved from all duties in the Corporation Court. Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and carried. ###4######## Alderman Reed then recommended that the bill rendered for plumbing done by Casteldine on sewer broken by C. H. Foley near the Temple of Israel be paid as follows: City of Wichita, One third C. H. Foley " " Temple of Israel5,C '!„ 420 • • Moved by Alderman Reed that the Nunn Electric Co., be award- ed contract for wiring the Sewer Lift Station at t170.00 this being lowest bid. Motion seconded by Alderman Fitts and carried. ############### Moved by Alderman Clifford that J. E. Glenn be paid the sum of t74.00 for work done from April 15th to April 30th 1922. Motion seconded by Alderman Shepherd and carried. ############## Moved by Alderman Shepherd that A. H. Douglas be allowed a vacation from June 2nd to June 20th. Motion seconded by Alderman Fitts and carried. ##### ####### Moved by Alderman Stayton that the valuation of the physical property of the City submitted by the City Engineer be sat up on the books of the City. Motion seconded by Alderman Fitts and carried. ############# Moved by Alderman Shepherd that J. E. Dobson take charge of the Cemetery and that his salary be raised to t250.00 per month. Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and carried. Moved by Alderman Stayton that the-Supt. of the eater Co., be authorized to add one unit of 3 beds It X 24 each to the filtration plant.
