The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular session on the above date with the following present:- Frank Collier, Mayor Burton Stayton J. F. Heed N. M. Clifford V Aldermen R. E. Shepherd 9 J. B. Fitts 9 Geo. W. Thorburn, City Clerk ######################### Moved by alderman Heed that in view of the fact that there will be a loss in taxable values on personal property of two and half million dollars, and that the City funds are depleted that the Equilization Board be instructed to raid° all valuations for 1922 to the same valuation accepted for 1921. Motion seconded by Alderman Fitts and carried. ##################### Moved by J. B. Fitts that the City 'Treasurer be authorized to make the following transfers on She books of the city. Debit Street Improvement Fund 1377.00 " Sewer Fund 219.15 " General Fund 228.88 " Park Fund 289.08 Credit Street Fund 2114.11 Debit Interest Fund, Park Bonds 62.50 " " " St Imp. No. 2 360.00 n rr IT u u " 1 375.00 " Fire Station 187.50 Sewer No. 3 250.00 Credit Interest City Hall No. 1 Bonds 300.00 Street Paving No. 1 472.50 City Hall No. 2 50.00 Sewer No. 2 325.00 Credit General Fund 277.50 Motion seconded by Alderman Shepherd and carried. ###################### Moved by Alderman Clifford that, Whereas the City National Bank has got judgment against the City for 0.776.06 which the said City owes to Parkins & Co., the City Clerk be instructed to draw warrant for this amount in favor of the City National Bank. Motion seconded by alderman Stayton and oarried. #################### Moved by Alderman Shepherd that the City Attorney be inst- ructed to enter condemnation proceedings against the Wiohita Valley Railway Company for intersection at Jalonic and Lamar Streets, and that the County commissioners be instruoted to run the public highway down Jalonick Street to connect with Lamar Street providing that the property owners of Lamar Street and Jalonick Street or others interested will guarantee to the City all expenses that may be incurred by said condemnation proceedings pay for land condemned. Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and carried. ##################### ��y ORDINANCE #412 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION NO.11 OF ORDINANCE NO.340, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE EXAMINING AND SUPERVISING BOARD OF PLUM- BERS, DESIGNATING THE MEMBERS THEREOF, AND PRESCRIBING THEIR POWER AND DUT- IES"AND TERM OF OFFICE, PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING OF PLUMBERS, AND THE GIVING OF INDEMNITY BONDS BY PERSONS, A'IRMS, OR CORPORATIONS, ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS OF PLUMBING IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND SETTING FORTH THE RULES, REGULATIONS, MANNE3 AND WAY IN WHICH PLUMBING WORK SHALL BE DONE: THE KIND AND CLASS OF MATERIALS TO BE USED IN SUCH WORK, THE INSPECTION OF PLUMBING AND ALSO SCALE OF FEES FOR SUCH INSPECTIONS: DEFINING THE POWER AND DUTIES OF THE CITY ENGINEER AND INSPECTOR OF PLUMBING, HNO REQUIRING PERMITS FOR CERTAIN KINDS OF PLUIBING DRAINAGE, AND COMPELLING BUILDINGS UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS TO BE CONNECTED WITH SANITARY SEWERS, PROHIBITING THE THROWING OF WASTES, GARBAGE, ETC., INTO THE SEOEB SYSTEM, AND THE INJURY OF THE SYSTEM IN NAY MANNER, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR THIS VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE PRO- VISIONS OF THIS ACT, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH SAME. AND CREATING THIS AN EMERGENCY MEASURE AND SUSPENDING TEE RULES,"PASSED ON THE 10TH DAY OF JANUARY 1921 AND APPROVED ON THE 17TH DAY OF JANUARY 1921 SO AS TO HEREAFTER READ AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:- BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERIaEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: etc Was on motion of Alderman Clifford, seconded by Alderman Reed, placed on second reading and passed by follfting vote:- Yeas: Stayton, Reed, Clifford, Shepherd, Fitts. Nayes: None. #################### Moved by Alderman Fitts that the §1,000.00 Insurance money obtained from Fire Chief's car be invested in another oar.
