Min 06/26/1922 Morgan Building • Wichita Falle,T9lxas, June 26th 1922. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular session on the above date with the following present:- Frank Collier, Mayor J. F. Heed 9 J. B. Fitts 9 R. E. Shepherd 9 Aldermen B. M. Clifford Q Geo. W. Thorburn, City Clerk ################# Moved by Alderman Clifford that R. S. P. Sansbury be per- mitted to operate a grocery store at 1418 Seventh Street under the usual pro- visions to-wit: That the said E. S. P. Sansbury, his successors and assigns, legal representatives and administrators do hereby hold the City harmless from any damages that may arise from the operation of said store and that the oper- ation of the store shall cease whenever same is requested by the Board of Alder- men of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas. Motion seconded by Alderman Fitts and carried. ################## Moved by Alderman Shepherd that the Mayor be authorized to execute contract with E. M. Mann for the collection of delinquent taxes. Motion seconded by Alderman Clifford and carried. #################### ORDINANCE 414 "AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATION FOR TEE SUPPORT OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OP THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, FOE ONE YEAR BEGINNING APRIL 1ST 1922 AND ENDINu MaRCH 31ST 1923". Was on motion of Alderman Fitts, seconded by Alderman Clif- ford placed on its third and final reading and passed by the following vote:- Yeas: Fitts, Reed, Clifford, Shepherd. Hayes: None. ########################## Moved by Alderman Shepherd that the report of the Sign Comm- ittee on posts and telephone ooths on edge of the sidewalks be accepted and app- roved and that the Chief of Police be instructed to enforce the law regarding same. Motion seconded by Alderman Clifford and carried. ########################## Moved by alderman Reed that the Council stand as a unit on all propositions. Motion seconded by Alderman Shepherd and carried by follow- ing vote:- Yeas: Reed, Clifford, Shepherd, Fitts. Hayes: Bone. ############### The Board of Aldermen then?adjourned.
