Hon. Frank Collier, Mayor,
City.
Hon. Sir:-
Pursuant to City Clerk's letter of this date relative to
salary budget allowance for Health Dep't for the ensuing year there is sub-
mitted herewith a revised monthly salary list as of July let 1922.
A. H. Douglass ;300.00
L. I. Lucey 165.00
W. H. Jackson 135.00
W. P. Lowry 100.00
;700.00
This is ;75.00 per month in excess of the allowance provided
for in the general budget but it is proposed to more than take care of that by
reducing the three incinerator men and one scavenger man from $3.50 per day to
;3.00 per day, and by cutting the allowance for the supplies and miscellaneous
expenditures from a total of ;1,200.00 to ;600.00 in the general health Dep't
budget.
The list as it appears above is the lowest possible number
that the department can get along with without very seriously jepordizing the
health of the City and I trust that the above arrangement will be satisfactory.
By order of Dr. J. F. Heed, Health Commissioner.
Signed: A. H. Douglas.
