The Board of Aldermen of the City pf Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular session on the above date with the following present:- Frank Collier, Mayor J. B. Fitts V N. M. Clifford 0 J. F. Heed 0 Aldermen R. E. Shepherd 0 Burton Stayton 0 Geo. W. Thorburn, City Clerk ############################# A petition signed by Howell Bfos and Curlee .and Johnson was presented to the Council asking that the Road in Andersons Sub-division between blocks E and I on the West side and Block F on the East side be closed permanently and that if said road be closed then Howell Bros will widen the road between blocks C & B on North and F & G on South and Curlee & Johnson will open up and dedicate another road runnin¢ North and South in Blocks E and I. Moved by Alderman Shepherd that petition be granted and said road closed permanently. Bewley, Lot 1 Block 24 Jalonic from $3500.00 to $1200.00 M. M. Simpson Lot 26 Wilson Felder Add from 2400.00 to 600.00 C. W. Johnson,Lot 15, Block 258 from $1500.00 to $500.00 Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and carried. ####F################ Moved by alderman Shepherd that J. W. Lee taxes be remitted for 1892- 1893- 1894- and 1895, but,that he be required to pay taxes now del- inquent for 1901 and 1902. Was on motion of Alderman Shepherd, seconded by Alderman Stayton placed on its first reading and passed by the following vote:- Yeas: Reed, Shepherd, Stayton, Clifford, Fitts Naves: None. ############### Moved by Alderman Clifford that Dr's Reed and Douglas employ an egg inspecto± the months of August and September his salary to be paid by the Retail Merchants Association. Motion seconded by Alderman Shepherd and carried. ##########10###### Moved by Alderman Clifford that the bill of 449.75 for work on swimming pod]. be paid. Motion seconded by alderman Stayton and carried. c°'9 d�doS ################# Moved by Alderman Clifford that Commissioner Stayton be authorized to purchase, in conjunction with the Commissioners Court, anything needed to complete the New Hospital provided that said purchases are small or reasonable amount. Motion seconded by Alderman Shepherd and carried. ######### ######## Bids for printing of legal notices for the City were then opened and were as follows:- Wichita Daily Times 564 per inch Record News • 60p' per inch And Alderman Shepherd moved that the Wichita Daily Times print all the legal notices of the City and be the official paper of the City for one year from August 1st 1922 to July 31st 1928. Motion seconded by Alderman Clifford and carried. ########P####### Moved by Alderman Clifford that the Board adjourn until 10:30 A. M. Tuesday 2nd August 1922.
