Wichita Falls, Texas April 27th 1916.
On above date the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls,
met in regular session and the following business wan transacted,
to-wit;.
Officers present and answering to roll call, were,
A H Britain, Mayor,
J F Reed, Alderman,
J W Bradley,
J A Richolt,
M J Gardber,
J L Lea, Jr,
V G Skeen, City Clerk, Horace Nutt, City Atty, A J Humphris,City
Marshall, H F Robertson, City Assessor and Collector and L C
Hinckley, City Engineer, in aptendance.
Minutes of last regular meeting were read and passed for approval,
until next meetingtbat corrections m_.ight be made.
Motion was made by J W Bradley and seconded by M J Gardner that
the City buy 1000 feet of Eureka Fire Hose at $1.10 per foot.
Motion carried.
Motion was made by J A Richolt and seconded by J L Lea, Jr that
the bond of V G Skeen, City Clerk, for $2000.00 be approved and
accepted. Motion carried.
J W Bradley made a motion which was seconded by M J Gardner that
;,j,�_'_�/'. a bill in favor of the North Texas Gas Co for $8.25, and one
7'1,0 ' oe4 in favor of E B Stonecipher for $5.95 and half of an account of
$77.00 in favor of W A McClemland for River Soundings,(the last to
be OK'd by J P Jackson, Co Commissioner►be paid. Motion carried.
�" ���, Motion was made by J F Reed and secmnded by J L Lea, Jr, that
y ! Interest accumulations on back taxes etc, on Lot No 11, Block "C"
Granger and Bellew Addition, bw remited to Ttllie Sandere,tCo1)

Motion was made by J F Reed and seconded by J W Bradley that
the Sewer line on Pierce and 9th St be extended to connect
with Judge M F Yeagers premises. Motion carried.
Dr Reed recommended that the office duties of San,officer.J A
Brown be conferred on an assistant at $25.00 per month salary,
in order that Mr Brown might devote more of hie time to outside
4 duties.
Motion was made by J A Richolt and seconded by M J Gardner that
recommendation be approved. Motion carried.
J W Bradley made a motion, which was seconded by J L Lea, Jr that
the Sanitary Committee be authorized to buy a horse for Mr Brown,
and dispose of the one now on hand. Motion carried.
Motion was made by J W Bradley and seconded by M J Gardner that
M-Hull. doing business under the name of the PARA VULCANIZING CO,
be granted permission to install a Gasoline Filling Station, con-
sisting of a gasoline tank and pump, under the sidewalk at their
place of business at 717 Seventh St,whereby he agrees to hold the
city harmless from any damages which may be eaused by the gasoline
tank being placed under the sidewalk, and the work to be done under
the supervision of the City Engineer. Motion parried.
J A Richolt made a motion which was seconded by J P Bradley that
Mr Hinckley be granted a leave of absence from the city during
Monday and Tuesday, May let and 2nd. Motion carried.
Motion was made by J F Reed and seconded by J L Lea, Jr, that the
following police officers be named, to-wit, A J Chambers, Desk
Sargent, R L McDonald, Night Cheif, D D McIver, Frank Burns,
Dan P Pitchford, J A Rawls, Lanly Humphris.and J E Glenn, as
Policemen; Geo 'W Gilham, Pound Keeper, Motion carried.
Motion was made by J A Richtlt and secmnded by M J Gardner that
Fred K Smith be reappointed Motorcycle Police,Motion carried.:
Motion was made by J W Bradley and seconded by J F Reed that S W
Walker be appointed Night Watchman at a salary of $25.00 per month.
Motin carried.
There being no further busness the Board ofnAldermen adjourned.
