Min 06/15/1916 Page 92. Wichita Falls, Texas, Mune 15th 1916. On above date the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, met in regular session for the transaction of the following business ' and with the following officers present, to-wit; A H Britain Mayor. • J A Rioholt, Alderman. J L Lea, Jr. M J Gardner, " J F Reed, JJW Bradley, City Atty Nutt, City Clerk Skeen, City Engineer Hinckley and ' City Marshall, Humphris, in attendance. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. There being* a necessity that an Ordinance authorizing the destruction Twenty five Thousand ($25,000.00) Dollars City Hospital Bends, author- ized by an election held on the 31st day of March A D 1914 and by virtue of an Ordinance adopted by unanimous vote of all the Aldermen of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls at a meeting i held on the 16th of April A D 1914, and all the Aldermen being present, J W Bradley moved that the rule rrquiring that ordinances be read and passed at three separate regular meetings of the Board of Aldermen, the last of which to take place not less than ten days from the first, be suspended, and Ordinance No 226, authorizing the $ destruction of said bonds be adopted, which was seconded by J F Reed, and upon a "yea" and "nay" the rule was suspended and the ordinance was adopted by the unanimous vote of all the Aldermen of the City of Wichita 11,1 Falls, as follows; J W Bradley Yea. J A Richolt, Yea. J F Redd, Yea. M J Gardner, Yea, J L Lea, Jr. Yea. Mayor Britain then declared the rule suspended and the ordinance authorizing the destruction of said bolds duly adopted as Ordinance No 226, by unanimous vote of all the Aldermen prsent, which is of recordi in Ordinance Book No 2 pages No 108 to 113. Mr J A Richolt of the Sreet Committee presented the follwing report ,11 for adoption and transfer to the various funds and credited to the Street Fund, to-wit. Sanitary Department. Feed for 6 horses 1 month 0 $15.00 per month each, $90.00 Feed for 1 horse 1 " " 10.00 " " 10.00 Putting in Sewer. 6-1/2 teams 1 day at $1.50 per day, 8th St, Adams and Pierce Sts, 9.75 15 prisoners 1 day 609, ditto. 2.00 Gen Fund, Pound Dppt. Feed for one horse one month at 10.00 per month, 10.00 Feed for stock in pound, 1.50 Park Fund. Feed for one horse one month, at Cemetery, 12.50 Use of one mule four days on parks, 3.00 Street Improvement Fund, Cleaning of pavements and cutting back intersections, on Scott Ave and 10th, 1 Team 25 days at $1.50 per day, 32.50 1 Prisoner, 20 days at 60 pr day. 12.00 Geo Dobson for days at $5.75 23.00 Total. $218.25 Motion was made by J A Richolt and seconded by M J Gardner that the bills against Lhe City as OKbd by the Finance Committee be allowed and ordered paid. Motion carried. Amount $1501,77 On motion by Dr Reed seconded by J A Rioholt a refund of $3.25 Ivor Rent w a8 ordrres. paidwto Mrs Carrie Joline, on- 'Yotz-cLot Motion was ra de by J W Bradley and seconded by J A Richolt that:the Mayor appoint a committee to investigate the cost. and__aslect.a site for the location of a bkilding to house the Street Sweeper when it arrives. Motion carried, whereupon Mayor Britain appointed J A Richolt and J L Lea, Jr as said committee with the request that they report their findinwas sddn as posible. On motion of M J Gardner seconded by J A Richolt, an Alley Crossing was odered put in on North Side of 14th St between Austin and Burnett. Motion was made by M J Gardner and seconded by J L Lea, Jr that a voucher for $5.00 be drawn in favor of C F Kerns in full settle- ment of-a•claim:for.:d dog killed at the pound. In answer to a request for Bids for the printing of all Publications for the City and fbr the _fufniahing.of printed supplies fir the next two years, bids were opened and canvassed from The Times Pub. Co, the Searchlight Pub Co, American Printing Co, Stone Printing Co, and the Peeress Printing Co, and it appearing that the Times Pub Cots bid of EQ cents per line for the first insertion and 2 cents per line for each ..aubsequent insertion of all publications of Notices, Odinances and Reports,being the lowest, Motion was made by M J Gardner and seconded by J A Richolt, that the contract for the publication of all Notices, Reports and Ordinances be awarded the Times Publishing Oo, for a period of two years beginging with this date.
