Min 06/19/1916 Page 94. Wichita Falls, Texas, June 19th 1916.
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met
on this date in called session with the following officers present,
to-wit,
A H Britain, Mayor,
J A Richolt, Alderman.
J L Lea, Jr,
J W Bradley,
M J Gardner,
Dr J F Reed,
City Atty Horace Nutt, City Clerk, V G Skeen and City Marshall
A J Humphris, in attendance.
Mayor Britain stated that the object of the meeting was to hear
a report from the committee, J A Richolt and J L Lea, Jr, appointed
to investigae the cost and to select a site for the bonatruotion
of a building to houde the Street Sweeper soon to arrive, where-
upon the Comittee submited plans and reported at to approximate coat
of the building, which they suggested should be built on the back
of the City Hall lot some 2o feet from the street and about 10 feet
from the alley,mDtoin was then made by M J Gardner and seconded by
J W Bradley, that the committee be'.authorized to_prodeed_withcthe
construction of the baalding, to have Mr Stanley Fields to draw
plans for same and to let the contract under competitive bids.
Motion carried.
Motion was made by J L Lea, Jr and seconded by J W Bradley, that
warrants be issued to pay Messers Jackson, Gohlke and Grisham,
for services rendered on Equalization Board and for extra help
in Tax Assessors Office during the Equalization of Taxes.
Motion carried.
There being no further business the Baord adjourned.
