The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, met in regular
session recessed from July 6th for the tranaction of the following
business, to-wit;
Officers present were,

J F Reed, Alderman,
J L Lea, Jr,
M J Gardner,
J A Richolt,
and with J W Bradley, Alderman, absent.
V G Skeen City Clerk. H F Robertson, City Assessor and Collector
A J Humphris, City Marshall, in attendance.
Minutes of previous meetings were read and approved.
The accounts of the various officers were checked and showed the
following exhibits.

Mayor Britain reported that Kauffman-Smith-Emert Investment Co,
had declined to acceed to proposal that the Interest and Principal
of the issue of $40.000.00 Street Improvement Bonds be made pay- o
able at the office of the City Treasurer of the City of Wichita 9'
Falls, whereupon motion was made by J L Lea, Jr and sec�ned by ppo
J A Richolt, that the offer of The International Trust Co, of
Denver, Colo, be accepted provedkthey at once file with bid , .p0$'
Certified Check on some bank of the City of Wichita Falls and
that Mayor Britain be authorized to wire them accrdingly at once.
Motion carried.
Motion was made by M J Gardner and seconded by J a Richolt, t hat
Smiley Turner be paid $2.50 for services rendered July 4th as
special police officer. Motion carried.
Bids were opened for the deposits of the cityr.s funds for the
next year as follows;
The City National Bank bid 2 7/8% on daily balances.
The National Bank of Commerce made a bid of 3% on
daily balnces, whereupon motion was made by J F Reed and seconded
by M J Gradner that the bid of the NationeBank of Commerce bf 30
on daily balances be accepted, and that the Natihal Bank aF
Comme;;ce�`hppoirted the depository of the city's 'funds for the
ensue'ing one year upon the execution and filing af,an exceptable
bond of Two hundred Thousand ($2000000.00) Bailers.: -,.
Motion carried.
Messers Gardner and Richolt reported that they had conferred with
the County Commissioners with reference to the removal of the
watering tank out of Lamar Ise, and an agreement had been reached
whereby the County had ageme¢ to bear one hlaf of the expense of
?!' � the removal and the installing of ac.onerete wai i trough within
the curb on 7th street between Lamar Ave and the entrance to
court house yard.

Motion was made by J A Richolt and seconded by J L Lea, Jr, that
H F Robertson be paid $52.41 for sewer collections.
Motion carried.
There being no further business the Board of Aldermen adjourned.
