Min 07/13/1916 Page 100. Wichita falls, Texas, July'13th 1916. On above date the Board Of Aldermen of the Cityoof Wichita Falls, met in regular session for the transaction of the following bus- iness, to-wit; Officers present were, A H Britain, Mayor. J F Reed, Alderman. M J Gardner, IT J A Richolt, " J L Lea, Jr. " Offiecers absent were, J W Bradley, " Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Mr L N Jernigan appeared before the Board of alderman with the request that a Fire Hydrant be installed in Ftoral Heights Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, at the Corner of Ave"I" and Kemp Boulevard, whereupona motion was made by JLLea, Jr and seconded by-J F Reed, that a Fire Hydrant be installed at the above mentioned locality. Motion carried. Mrs T R Boger and Mrs R G Scheurer, representing the Civic League, appeared before the Board of Aldermen, to discus with them the ravages of the Bag Worms which are infecting the shade trees of the city and methods by which they might be eradicated, and after some discussion of the matter motion was made by M J Garner and seconded by J A Richolt that the Park Boad be authorized to employ a man with polioe powers to inspect the trees of the city and'to report to the owners of trees where Bag WorMs are found and to induce said Ownerb..to make an effort tn.-destroy them. Motion carried. Mr J P Jackson came before the Board of aldermen with the request that the Board authorize the placing of two street lights on Humphrey St. near the Rail Road tracks. No action taken. p-Ordinance No 227, an ordinance regulating the production, care and rtN/[R. sale of milk and milk products within the City limits Of:the City- of Wichita Falls, was .om dotion.Of J .F Reed, seconded by J A Richolt, put on its third and lMst Peading,and":pagsed by the following yea and nay vote. J F Reed, Yea. M J Gardner, Yea. J L Lea, Jr, Yea. J A Richolt, Yea. Mayor Britain then declared Ordinance No 227, an ordinance regulating the production, care and sale of milk and milk products passed on its third and last reading by a vote of all the aldermen of the City present voting "Yea", and it was so ordered. c Mayor Britain reported that the International Trust Co of Denver, who were the highest bidders in the recent sale of $40.000.00 jet a• Street Improvement bonds, had, in response to his wire, deposited n„ with their-bid for_eaid:bonds .a, certified cheek en the'rirst Natl 1 ° Bank of this city for $1000.00 and that their bid had been finally accepted, whereupon motion was made by J L Lea, Jr and seconded by MCJ Gardner, that report be accepted and approved.
