Min 07/27/1916 Page 102. ichita Falls, Texas, July 27th 1916. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular session on above date for the transaction of such business as might properly come before it, and with the following officers present, to-wit; A H Britain, Mayor. J A Richolt, Alderman. J F Reed, M J Gardner, J W Stanley, J L Lea, Jr, IT Horace Nutt, City Atty,V G Skeen, City Clerk, and A J Humphris City Marshall in attendance. Minutes of last regular meeting were read and approved. The Depository Bond of the National Bank of Commerce in the sum of $220.000.00 was presented to the Board of Aldermen for appro- val with the follwing surities, viz. J. J. Lory, A. A. Hughes, C. W. Reid, Frank Kell, J.L. Jackson, K. E. Bauch and G. W. Muagraves, whereupon motion was made by M J Gardner and seconded by J W Bradley, that the $220.000.00 Bond of the National Bank of Commerce as Depository of the City of Wichita Falls, be accepted and approved and the City Treasurer be directed to transfer the cities funds to the Natl Bank of Commerce on the let day of August. Motion carried. Dr Reed reported that he and Geo Dobson had bought a horse at a cost of $150.00 for the Sanitary Department which had been paid for out or The General round, as per previous understanding with Mr Gardner, whereupon motion was made by J W Bradley and seconded by J A Richolt that report be accepted and approved. Motion carried. Dr Reed reported that the Park Board, under authority of an or- der.paased by the Board of Aldermen, had employed J R Nail to inspect the trees of the City and that so'far the fight against the 'D bag worms had been very satisfactory, that a great many citizens had already sprayed their trees and teat a great many more had agreed to do so, whereupon motion was made by J A Richolt and seconded by M J Gardner that the report be accepted and approved. Motion carried. Motion was made by J a Richolt and seconded by J L Lea, Jr. that Alderman Gardner and Fire Chief McClure be autorized to employ Another fireman at i. 50.00 per month salary. Motion: carried. City Atty Nutt reported that he had collected the sum of $37.50 in full payment of all charged against Ed Forbes for a sidewalk put down by order of the Board_of Aldermen, in'frOht of Lot"No 2 in.Mleck-No 148 in the City of Wichita Falls, $20.00 of which to be paid to I H Roberts and $17.50 to be depodt-ad tothe credit of the General Fund, motinon was them made by J F Reed and seconded by M J Gardner that report be accepted and approved.
