The Board of Aldermen of the City of ':.ichita calls, Texas, met
in called session on above date for the transaction of the
following hsiness and with the following officers present, to-
wit;
A H Britain, Mayor.
J W Bradley, Alderman,
J n Richolt, Or
M J Gardner,
Dr J F Reed, "
J L Lea, Jr, Alderman, absent.
I V G Skeen City Clerk and 6 J Humphris City Marshall in attendance.
The Board being called to adder Dr Reed oxplaiied that that the
purpose of the meeting was to consider the advis¢abilty of
��t/ improving- and beautifying the cemertery, the issuing of bonds
P f for same and to discuss with members of the Park Board present
Mrs J A Richolt and E 8 Hill, plans, ways and means of making,
I� the cemetery a more attractive and up-to-date burying ground.
i The need of more ground and an independent water supply from
wells sunk snnk near the river was advised by Mr Hill of the
Park Board. Mr Shrewsbery representing a Landscape Architect
of Tyler, Texas, was present with maps and views and offered
the services of his company in furnishing all plans and speci-
fications and to supervise all work to be done for the sum
of $750.00. After more or less discussion the subject was
passed for future considration by the Board of Aldermen.
Motion was made by J W Bradley and seconded by M J Gardner
that the Clerk be authorized to draw a warrant for $"300.00
in favor of the Wichita General Hospital for the city's part
of first payment on Xray equipment. Motion carried.
There being no further business the Board of Aldermen adjourned.
