Wichita Falls, Texas, Oct 12th 1916.
The Board of Aldermen of the City of ::icnita Falls, Texas, met
on above date for the tranaction of the regular busihess of the
City, with Mayor A H Britain, presiding and the following officers
present, to-wit;
J L Lea, Jr, J a Richolt, M J Gardner and J W Bradley, Aldermen,
L C Hinckley, Engineer,; V G Skeen City Clerk; Horace Nutt, City
Attorney, and J F Reed, Alderman, absent.
Minutes of previous meetings were read and approved.
Motion was made by J W Bradley, and seconded by J A Richolt, _.
which carried, that the following bills be allowed and ordered
paid. To R W Sugg, for expenses incurred for railroad fare,
telegram etc in getting started on 10th street repairs. $21.60.
Wichita Boiler Works making Asphalt Vats, $75.00, less amount
due the Wichita Foundry & Mach Co $18.77 and $6.50 due the
Hornsby Heavy Hardware Co,and to Kemp & Duncan for a car of crushed
store $73.80 less frieght W28,08.
M J Gardner reported that he had employed J M Ashford on the
Police Force at Vo.00 per month, w}jerreupon motion was made by
J A Richolt and seconded by J W Bradley that report be approved.
Motion carried.
Motion was made by J L Lea, Jr. that the Wichita Falls Traction Co
be notified to repair its tracks on 10th street between Ind, Ave
and Scott street, which was seconded by J W Bradley. Motion carried.
M J Gardner made a motion that the fire boys be allowed twelve
hours off:.duty'each week, time of absence to be arranged by Chief
McClure, which was seconded by J a Richolt. Motion carried.
There being no further business the Board of Aldermen adjourned.
