Min 10/26/1916 Wichita Falls, Texas, Oct 26th 1916. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met on above date for the transaction of the regular business of the City 1/1/ with Mayor A H Britain presiding and with the following Aldermen present, to-wit; J W Bradley, J L Lea, Jr., M J Gardner,JJA'Rioholt and J F Reed. City Engineer Hinckley, City Atty Nutt, City Clerx Skeen and City Marshall Humphris in attendance. Minutes of last meeting were read and passed for corrections. ORDINANCE No 232. An Ordinance granting to the Missori, Kansas & Texas Railway f Company of Texas, its successors, lessees, assigns and receivers, the right to construct a standard guage railway track in, along and across Park Street between blocks "A" and "B" of the Grainger & Ballew addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, as is shown by map or plat thereof of record in the deed records of Wichita County Texas the location of the ;:track being shown by map attached hereto and made a part of this Ordinance, was put on its first reading and passed by the following "Yea" and "Nay" vote; J-W Bradley, Yea, J A Richolt, Yea, J F Reed, Yea, J L Lea, Jr. Yea, M J Gardner, Yea. Mayor Britain than declared Ordinance No 232, an Ordinance grant- ing_t4e Missori, Kansas & Texasm Ry Co of Texas, the right to construct a track across Park street between blocks "A" &"B" of the Gaanger and Ballew Addition to the City of Wichita Falls Texas, passed on its first reading by a vote of all the Aldermen of the City votiong "Yea". J A Richolt made a motion which was seconded by J L Lea, Jr, and carried that Dr Reed, Chairman of the Sanitary Committee be authorized to install a sewer line in the alley of block No 24 of the Floral Heights Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas. Motion was made by M J Gardner and seconded by J Pr Bradley, that J L Lea, Jr. be authorized to have installed street light at the Corner of Magnolia and 17th streets and at the Corner of Kemp Boulevard and Ave "I". Motion carried. Motion was made by 0 W Bradley and seconded by M J Gradner, that Ed Carnes bp paid $5,00 for arrests in as many cases where defendants had paid fines, as per list attached.
