Min 12/28/1916 Page 136. Wichita Falls, Texas, Dec 28th 1916. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular session on above date with Mayor A H Britain pre- , siding and with the foll®wing aldermen present, to-wit; J L Lea, Jr. J W Bradley, M J Gardner, J A Richolt and J F Reed. City Atty 9utt, City Clerk Skeen, City engineer Hinckley, City Marshal Humphris and City Assessor and Collector Robertson in attendance. Minutes of last regular meeting were read and:_approved. Motion was made by J A Richolt and seconded by J W Bradley, that Kemp & Duncan be paid for four cars of crushed stone amounting to $159.32 and that A B Crider be paid for eleven cars of sand amouht- ing to $166.80. Motion carried. Motion was made by J F Reed and seconded by M J Gardner, that the Stokes Electric Co be paid for wiring Lamar Park building amounting to ;6.00. Motion carried. ORDINANCE No 235. An Ordinance regulating the sale and the keeping for sale of Meats, Fish, Game, Poultry and Products thereof; regulating the transportation of Meats, Game, Fish, Poultry and prOdudts there- of; regulating the construction and operation of slaughter houses and providing penalties, was read, and all the Aldermen of the City being present Dr Reed moved that the rale requiring that prdinances be read and passed at three seperate regular meetings of the Board of Aldermen, the last of which to take place not less than ten days from the first, be suspended, and the Ordinance regulating the sale and the keeping for sale of Meats, Game, Fish, Poultry and products thereof; regulating the transportation of Meats, Game, Fish, Poultry and products thereof; 'regulating the doftetructipn and hperAhion Of slaughter houses, and providing penalties, be finally adopted, which was seconded by J W Bradley, and upon a Yea and Nay vote the rule was suspended and the ordinance was adopted by the unanimous vote of all the Aldermen of the City as follows; J 17 Bradley, Yea, J A Richolt, Yea, J F Reed, Yea, M J Gardner, Yea, J L Lea, Jr. Yea. Mayor Britan then declared the rule suspended and the ordinance regulating the the sale and the keeping for sale of Meats, Game, Fish, Poultry and productee thereof, regulating the transportation of Meats, Game,Fish, Poultry and products thereof; regulation the construction and operation of slaughter houses and fixing penal- ties duly and finally adopted by the unanimous vote of all the Aldermen of the City being present and voting "Yea". ORDINANCE No 237. An Ordinance creating a Board of Health for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, its organization and defining its powers and duties, was read, and all the Aldermen of the City being present, J W Bradley moved that the rule requiring that ordinances be read and passed at three separate regular meetings of the Board of Alder- men, the last of which to take place not less than ten days from the first, be suspended, and the ordinance creating a Board of Health for t.,e City of ,ichita Falls, Texas, its organization and defining its powers and duties, be adopted, which was seconded by M J Gardner, and upon a yea and Nay vote the rule was suspended and the ordinance was adopted by the unanimous vote of all the Aldermen of the City as follows; J W Braley. Mayor Britain then declared the rule suspended and the ordinance creating a Board of Health for the City of aichita Falls, Texas, its organization and defining its powers and duties duly and finally adopted by the unanimous vote of all the Aldermen of the City being present and votting Yea. ORDINANCE No 238.
