BE IT 2E^OL47D by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, lst, That the bid of $15.000.00 and interest accrued to the date of delivety and a premium of '611.00 made by J E Jarrett & Co, of San Antonio, Texas, for the $15.000.00 of bonds of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, being issued for the purpose of acquiring Public Cemeteries be and is hereby accepted. 2nd, That Mayor A H Britain is hereby authorized to notify the said J E Jarrett & Co of the acceptance of said bid, to take charge of deliver said bonds and to receive and receipt for the purchase price thereof. , Mr J E Duncan appeared before the Bed of Aldermen to ask permission to move a Gasoline Filling Station from its present location in the 1' sadewalk at 602 gnieeAve.And-.to 'place same in the sidewalk on the north side of the building at 600 Ind Ave, and that- he be granted permission to install a Gasoline Filling Station in the sidewalk ten feet south from the property line at 600 Ind Ave, thereupon motion eeas made by M J Gardner and seconded by J L Lea, Jr, that Mr J E Duncan be granted permission to install Filling Stations 1 as per his request. under the usual provisions, to-wit; that he is to save the City harmless from any damafes which may be caueed by the removal and installation of said Gasoline Filling Stations, to have the work done and r the supervisslion of the City Engineer, and that he and his assigns agree to remove said Filling Stations upon demand of the Board of Aldermen. Motion carried. Motion was made by J B' Bradley and seconded by J L Lea, Jr. that J E Duncan be grabted permission to hang an electric sign over the sidewalk at 600 ThdeAve.under'the tirovigons of the side-, z, walk ordinance. Motion.narried. G Motion was made by JtA Richolt and seconded by J L Lea, Jr, that a J A Kavanaugh be paid 0.78.00 amount of bill for installing a heating plant in the holdover cells in the City Hall. Motion carried. .,. Page 140. • Motion was made by J A Richolt and seconded by J W Bradley, that the Motor Supply Co, be piad a bil of $551.25 for a Ford Car, bought for the Police Department. Motin carried. ORDINANCZ No 236. An Oadinance regulating the preparation and sale of food products in Restaurants, Safes and Delicatessens Etc, was read and on motion made by J W Bradley and seconded by J A Richolt, put on its third and last reading and passed by the following Yea and Nat vote. to-wit; J W Bradley, Yea. J a Richolt, Yea, M J Gardner, Yea and J L Lea, Jr, Yea. Mayor Britain than declared Ordinance No 236, an Ordinance regu- lating the preparation and sale of food products in Restaurants, Cafes, and Delicatesene etc, passed on its thrird and last read- ing by the unanimous vote of all the City present voting Yea. Motion was made by J W Bradley and seconded by J A Richolt, that Dr Traylor be granted a leave of absence from the city for four days begining with Tueaddyty Jany 16th 1917. Motion carried. Motion was made by Y J Gardner and seconded by J L Lea, Jr. that J W Bradley, be granted a leave of absence from the City for two weeks begining with Jany 15th 1917 There being no further busipess the Board of Aldermen adjourned.
