The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met
on above date in regular session for the transaction of the
business of the City with Mayor A H Briatin presiding and with
the following Aldermen present, to-wit;
J L Lea, Jr, J W Bradley, M J Gardner and Dr J F Reed.
Aldermen J A Richolt, absent.
City Enginner Hinckley, City Atty Nutt, City Marshall Humphris
and City Clerk Skeen in attendance.
Minutes of last regular meeting were read and approved.
Mayor Britain announced the first order of business to be the
opening and consideration of bide for certain work and improve-
! ments on Riverdide Cemetery and the bid of C W Hughes, being the
only one filed was opened and read as follows;

City of Wichita Falls,
Gentlemen:-
Inclose you will find certified check for Five Hundred and
Ninety Seven Dollars and Twenty cents. (597.20)
To cover my bid for Five Thousand and Nine Hundred Seven-
two Dollars.
For improvement and developement of Riverside Cemetery
in your city.
According to plans and specifications as furnished by
C W Hughes, L. A. and E.

Dr Reed moved that contract for improvement and developement
of Riverside Cemetery as per plans and specifications furnished
by C T Hughes and approved by Park Board, be awarded C W Hughes
in accrodance with his bid as filed with Board of Aldermen,
which was seconded by M J Gardner and carried.
Motin was made by M J Gardner that the Mayor and Dr Reed be
authorized to close a contract with C W Hughes for the Improve-
ment and developement of Riverside Cemetery as per plane and
specifications approved by the Park Board, which was seconded
by J W Bradley and carried.
J W Bradley moved that the Park Board be authorized to dispose
of the present Cemetery fence and other materials not,, needed-
in proposed improvements, which was seconded by J L Lea, Jr.
Motion carried.
Motion was made by Dr Heed and seconded by J L Lea, Jr, that
Dr Traylor be granted a leave of absence from duty from Friday
the 26th to Tuesday the 30th, he having failed to avail himself
of a former leave. Motion carried.
J W Bradley moved that Alderman Gardner and St Foreman Dobson
be authorized to buy a set of harness for the trash wagon mules.
which was seconded by J L Lea, Jr, Motion carried.
Motion was made by J W Bradley and seconded by M J Gardner, that
Arthur Boothe be paid a salary of 160.00 per month begining with
Jany let, e' taking the glade and pay of Fireman Hickman.
Motion carried.
There being no further business the Board of Aldermen adjourned.
