Min 02/01/1917 Page 143. Wichita Falls, Texas, Feby 1st 1917. The Bored of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular session on above date for the transaction of the business of the City with Mayor A H Britain presidaing and with the following Aldermen present; to-wit:- J A Rieholt, J F Reed, M J Gradner, J L Lea, Jr., and J W Bradley. City Marshal Humphris, City Clerk Skeen and City Atty Nutt in attendance. Minutes of last regular meeting were read and approved. Mayor Britain reported for himself and Dr Reed that they had made it and entered into a contract with Mr C W Hughes for the improvement and developement of Riverside Cemetery as per plans and specifi- , 4 a► , .• ''.ations approved by the Park Board and that Mr Hughes had executed a bond in the sum of $3000.00 with the United States Fidelity & '65°41 Guaranty Co as surety, for the faithful performance of said improve- ments and developement; whereupon motion was made by J A Rieholt, that the report of Mayor Britain and Dr Reed be accepted, approved and spread upon the minutes of the Board of Aldermen, which was seconded by J W Bradley and carried. Mr P G Woody, Manager of the Wichita Valley Refining Co,through Mr J L McClure, asked permission of the Board of Aldermen to install a Gasoline Pump in the sidewalk at 707 8th St, whereupon, M J Gardner moved that permission be granted Mr Woodyto install a Gasolirp Pump in the sidewalk at 707 8th St., as per his request, but under the provision that he is to save the city harmless from any damages which may be caused by the placing of a Gasoline Pump in the sidewalk at said location, to have the work done under the supervision of the City Engineer and that he and his assigns further agree to remove said Gasoline Pump upon demand of the Board of Aldermen, which was seconded by J L Lea, Jr. and carried. Motion was made by M J Gardner and seconded by J W Bradley, that Dr Reed be authorized tb have the Sewer line extended about 400 feet in Block No 9 in Southland Addition, at a'cost_of'about $160.00. Motion carried. There being no further business the Board of Aldermen adjourned. Read and approved this 0--day of Feby 1917. Attest, y erk. Mayor.
