Page 158. Wichita Falls, Texas, April 12th 1917.
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met
1'. in regular session on above date for the transaction of the
business of the City with Mayor Pro-tem, J F Reed, presiding
and with the following Aldermen present, to-wit;
t' J A Richolt,. M J Gardner and J L Lea Jr.
Mayor A H'Britain'and Alderman..g.W Bradley being absent.
City Atty Nutt, City Marsahl Humphrie and City Clerk Skeen in
attendance.
Minutes of last regular meeting were read and approved.
1.
Mr R C Bolin, by J L McClure, made application for permission
to install a Gasoline Filling Station in front of Lot No 14
Block No 75 on Wichita Street, north side of river, whereupon,
J L Lea, Jr, moved that R C Bolin be granted permission to
,1 insall a Gasoline Filling Station at said location under the
usual provisions, that he is to have the work done under the
supervision of the City Engineer, save the city harmless from
any damages which may be caused by the installation of said
station and to remove same at the request and,upon demand of
the Board of Alermen, which motion was seconded by M J Gardner
. and carried.
Mr Gardner reported that he and Fire Chief McClure had ordered
Shipped 1000 feet of Fire Hose contracted for some time back,
at $1.10'per'foot, and in addition thereto_had:bonght 500 feet
more at $1.20 per foot, this parohase being necessary because
of the loss of some 700 feet during the fire_bffipril 5rd.1017,
whereupon J A Richolt moved that the report be accepted and
approved, which motion was seconded by J L Lea, Jr and carried.
' There being no further business the Board of Aldermen adjourned.
