The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular session on above date for the transaction of the business of the City, with Mayor A H Britain, presiding, and with the following Aldermen present, to-wit; M J Gardner, J A Rioholt, J L Lea, Jr, Marvin Smith and E G Hill. City Marshal Humphris, City Atty Nutt, City Engineer Hinckley, Assesor and Collector Robertson and City Clerk Skeen in attendance. -000- Minutes of last regular meeting were radd and approved. • -000- The following officers reports were checked and OKd. -000- H F Robertson, Collector, submitted the following report. Delinquent Taxes Collected. $430.75 Occupation " 325.00 Sewer Rent 2 171.50 Auto Registrations, 22.00 Pound Fees, " 35.50 Bicycles Registered. 3.75 Dog Taxes, 2.40 Penalties and Interest, 59.91 Total. $1050.81 -000- V G Skeen, City Clerk, submitted the following report, Wire Inspection, $57.70 Fines Collected, 404.50 Dirt Sold, 14.40 Crusher Rock Sold, 2.00 Sanitary Collectons, 596.65 Dairy Permits, .50 Interest Draft returned and deposited. 1612.50 Total, $2688.25 -000- J W halkup, Treasurer submitted the following report. Balance Generl Fund, $16389.89 Balance Street Fund, 10929.29 Balance St Imp Fund, 23597.20 Balance Fire Station Fund, 129.70 Balance Sewer Fund, 829.04 Balance Int & Sink Fund, 2699J.1.1 , Balance Park Fund, 12822.07 Overdraft Hospital Fund, 3927.53 Balamce all Funds, $6GG$.00 -00o- Mr G E Fribarg came before the Board of Aldermen with request that he be reiaived of the payment of Taxes, penalties and interest on Lot 12 Blk 32, of the Bawwise & Jalonio Addition, for the years 1892, 93, 95 and 1904 as shown on the Tax Collec- tors booke, wnereupoa E G Hill moved that the Tax Collector be authorized to accept the sum of $8.79 in full payment of said taxes in order to clear the recods, which motion was seconded by M J Gardner, and carried. -o00- Mr T B Noble made request through Aldermen Lea, that he be granted permission to build steps in the sidewalk at the corner of 8th and Burnett, where as a.result of the lowering of the street the decline in the sidewalk would be unsafe during wet weather or when the sidewalk might be covered with ioe,whereupon J L Lea, Jr, moved that Mr Noble be granted permission to install steps as deemed necessary with 5 Or 6 inch risers and 15 inch treads, which motion was seconded by E G Hill, and carried. do0o- E G Hill moved that H F Robertson be paid $8.57, commission on $"171.50 sewer rent collected, which was seconded by Marvin Smith and carried. -000- Alderman Hill retorted that he had ordered Fire Brick etc, for the repair of the Incinerator, which report was approved on motion made by J L Lea, Jr seconded by M J Gardner. -o0o- Motion was made by J L Lea, Jr and seconded by M J Gardner, that the following transfers be made. -o0o- Charge Sewer Fund and dredit Street Fund, Feed for 6 mules at $15.00 per month, $90.00 Feed for one horse one month at 12.50 per momnth, 12.50 Charge Park Fund and Credit Street Fund, Feed for one mule"one month at Cemetery, 12.50 One Tbam 48 days at . 1.50 per day 72.00 One prisoner 19 days at 604 per day, 11.40 Geo Dobson, 3 days at $5.75v per day, 17.25 Page 163.
