Wichita Falls, Texas, May 17th 1917.
The Board of Aldermen of the.City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met
in regular session on the above date for the transaction of the
busness of the City with Mayor A H,Brithin presiding, and with
the following aldermen present;
J L Lea, Jr, J A Richolt, Marvin Smith, and M J Gardner.
E G Hill, being absent. .
City Atty Nutt, City Marshal Humphris, City Clerk Skeen and City
Engineer Hinckley, in attendance.

Minutes of last regular meeting were read and approved.

Mr J L Jackson came before the Board of Aldermen to discus with
them the request that he repair the sidewalk and curb in front
of his property at the corner of 7th Street and Ohio Ave., and
after explaining that he had an understanding with former Mayor
Noble that the City would attend to thus repatrs the matter
was passed without action.

Judge Harvey Harris and Mr Roy 3tClair apperaed before the Board
n of Aldermen with a petition asking that a Fire Plug be placed at
�f \. ,� the comer of Baylor end :7e�enth Streets, but action c>:s deferred
/.}n� r until the Board found time to investigate the location.

Mr H J Naylor, of the dontracting firm of Naylor and Hammack,
made request that they be allowed the use of part of the street
at 10th and Brook, where they are erecting a house, whereupon.
J A Richolt moved that Naylor & Hammack be granted the use of
thirty feet af'Brookletreet outside the sidewalk for the purpose
of storing building material during the erection of a building
at above location, under the provisions that they are to save
the city harmless from any damages which may be caused by the
use of the street at said location, which motion was seconded
. by M J Gardner, and carried.

ReWuest was made byRev J Haggard, that the Cityauthorize

the placing of a street light at the corner of Avenue I and
Kemp Boulevard, action on which was deferred for investigation.

Motion was made by M J Gardner that the bills against the City
as 0 Kd by the Finance Committee be allowed and ordered paid,
which motion was seconded by J A Richolt and carried. .

2 L Lea, Jr moved that a sewer line he laid from a connection
on Ave "I" through the alley in Block No 54 to Ave "C" and fe, )f
along Ave "C" to accomodate lots 1 & 2 in Block No 550:4E1
motion was seconded by M J Gardner, and carried.
