The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met
in regular session on above date for the transaction of the
business of the City with Mayor A H Britain presiding, and with
the following Aldermen present, to-wit;
M J Gardner, J A Rioholt, J L Lea, Jr. and Marvin Smith.
Alderman Hill being absent.
City Engineer Hinokley, City Marshal Humphris, City Clerk Skeen
and City Atty Nutt in attendance.

Minutes of last regular meeting were read and arproved.

Mr E E Senor, representing Pat Hogan, who has taken the contract
to repair and improve the old First National Ban/(Building at
the corner of 7th street and Indiana Ave.,appeared before the
Board of Aldermen to ask permission to use a part of 7th street
for the storing of building material and rubbish during the
improvement of said building, whereupon J A Richolt moved that
Pat Hogan be granted the use of the sidewalk and twenty feet of
7th street along the side of the old First National Bank Build-
ing for the st,ring of rubbish and building material during the
repair and improvemnt of said building under the usual provisions,
that.` the said fiat Hogan is to save the City of 0ichika Falls
harmless from any damages or suits for damages to any person or
property by reason of neglect or otherwise which may be caused
by the use of aid sidewalk or street under this permit, which
motion was seconded by M J Gardner and carried.

Wichita Falls, Texas, July 5th 1917.
Hon Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls,
Wichita Falls, Texas.
Dear Sirs:-
Pursuant to resolution adopted by the Board gi the -
llth day of June 1917. I have purchased for the various inter-
est and sinking funds liberty bonds of the United States in the
sum of $18.550.00. The interest on these bonds begins on June
15th, 1917, and at the rate of 3i per cent. the total interest
for sixteen days is $28.86. I have had warrant issued and
deliveder to the First National Bank for $18,578.86 and here-
tith hand you receipt from the Bank for that sum and guaranty
Page 211. that the bonds will be delivered just as soon as they are received
from! the Federal Reserve Bank.
The following is the amount purchased by each Inter-
est and sinking fund together with the amount of interest proper-
ly chargeable to each such fund respectively.
