Wichita Falls, Texas, July 12th 1917.
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in
regular session on above date for the transaction of the business
of the City with Mayor A H Britain presiding and with the following
Aldermen present, to-wit;
• Marvin Smith, J A Richolt and M J Gardner. J L Lea, Jr and E G Hill
being absent.
City Engineer Hinkley, City Clerk Skeen, City Marshal Humphris and
City Atty Nutt, in attendance.

Minutes oflast regular meeting were read and approved.

Judge J H Barwise came before the Board of Aldermen with request
that he be allowed to pay half the charges for sewer rent against
hiatproperty on Humphret St, on account of vacancies, whereupon
M J Gardner moved that Sudge Barwise be credited with vacancies
to amount of $2.00 and the Tax Collector be authorized to aoopat
44,00 in full payment of serer charges aft to Jany 1st 19134
against dewer_`aonnections at 205 & 207 Humphrey St, which motion
was seconded by Marvin Smith and carried.

Mr J L Mears made application for permission to replace Gasoline
Filling Station at 911 Scott and 620 Ohio and to install a new
1 Filling Station at 50$ Ohio, whereupon M J Gardner moved that
J L Mears be granted permission to replace new for old Gasoline
Filling Station at 911 Scott Ave and at 620 Ohio Ave, and to
install a new Gasoline Filling Station at 50$ Ohio Ave, under
the usual provisions, that he is to save the City harmless from
any damages which may be caused by said changes and installation,
and that he and his assigns agree to remove said Filling Stations
upon demand and at the request of the Board of Aldermen, whiwh
motion was seconded byy Marvin Smith and parried.

Mr Gradner made application for a leave of absence from the City
from July 17th to Sept lst, whereupon J A Richolt moved that the
request of Mr Gardner be granted, which motion was seconded by
Marvin Smith and carried.

Mr Richolt made application for leave of absence from the City
at next regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen, whereupon
Mavin Smith moved that J A Rioholt be granted leave of absence
for Board meeting July 19th, which motion was seconded by M J
Gardner and carried.

The following report of the Committee appointed to investigate
and report on the conditon of the R O'C Lynch warehouse, was read
anda‘mdtinnwas: made by J A Richolt that same be received and
spread upon the minutes which motion was seconded by M J Gardner
and oarried.

Comes now C C Willard, J H Taylor and H J Naylor, appointed
heretofore by the Board of Aldermen of the City of,Wichita Falls,
Texas, at a regular session thereof to inspect the building owned
by R 0'0 Lynch and situated on the rear of Lot No 14 Block No 138
of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and hereby filed with the
Honorable A H Briatin, Mayor of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
this our report of the condition of this building as required and
directed under the provisions of Ordinance No 242 of the Ordinan-
ces of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
First. On this 28th day of Jund, 1917, we, your said
dnspeetors, went upon said premises in company with S D Lynch,
Agent for R O'C Lynch, and inspected said building, and•we find
that said building is in an unsafe and delapidated condition and
that there is stored in said buildinga great quantity of refuse
and rubbish which is in..itd-elf unsafe and dangerous, and that
both said building and said rubbish is a public nuisance and
should be removed, that said building and said material stored
therein have only a nominal value and that said building oannot
be repaired without building practically a new building.
