Wichita Falls, Texas, July 19th 1917.
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Fails, Texas, met in
regular session on above date with Mayor A H Britain presiding
and with the following Aldermen present, to-wit;
E G Hill, Marvin Smith and J L Lea, Jr. Aldermen M J Gardner and
J A Bloholt being absent.
City Engineer Hinckley, City Clerk Skeen, City Marshal Humphrie
and City Atty Nutt in attendance.

Minutes of last regular netting were read mild approved.

Mrs H T Canfield came before the Board of Aldermen with request
that certain Taxes charged against her property for the year 1898
be remited, whereupon J L Lea, Jr moved that Penalties and Interest
charged agaisnt Lots No 4, 5, o and 7 in Block No 251 on the orig-
inal townsite for the year 1898 be remited and that the Tax
Collector be authorized to acoept $10.00 in full settlement of
the Taxes, Interest and Penalties charged against said property
for the year 1898, which motion was seconded by Marvin Smith and
carried.

Mr E E Senor, representing Pat Hogan, came before the Board of
Aldermen to ask permission to use a part of the alley in the rear
of No 2112 10th street during the construction of a garage for
Mr Parmenter, whereupon Marvin Smith -moved that Pat Hogan be
granted the use of 8feet of the alley at said location during
the construction of said garage under the provision that the he
is to save the fifty harmless from any damages which may be caused
by the use of aaid,al1gy for the storing of building materail
*high motion was seconded by E G Hill and carried.

The fact that Mat Hogan who has the contract to repair the Old
let Natl Bank building is and has been useing the sidewalk in
front of said building was brought to..the nhtioe of the Board
of Aldermen, whereupon, Marvin Smith moved that Pat Hogan by
, granted the use of the sidewalk in front of the Old 1st Nat]. Bank
building for the storing of building materail during the repair
of said building under the usual provisions, that he is to cave
the 61ty harmless from any damages which mey be caused by the
use of said sidewalk for the storing of building material, which
motion was seconded by E G Hill and carried.

Bills against the city as 0 Kd by the Finance Committee were
allowed and ordered paid on motion made by J L Lea, Jr and seconded
by E G Hill.

There being no further business the Board of Aldermen adjourned.
