Min 10/04/1917 Page 227. Wichita Falls, Texas, Oct 4th 1917. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Viohita Falls, Texas, met in regular session on above date for the transaction of the business of the Qity with Mayor A H Britain presiding and with the following Aldermen present; to-wit; M J Gardner, J A Richolt, Marvin Smith, E G Hill and J L Lea, Jr. Gity Atty Nutt, City Marshal Humphris, City Clerk Skeen, City Trees, Nalkup, City Engineer Cook and Fire Marshl McClure in attendance. City Tax Collector- Robertson was represented by Mrs H A Butler -000- Minutes of last regular meeting were raed and approved. -000- The officers accounts were checked and 0Kd as follows. Thee report of H F Robertson showed the following exhibits. Delinquent Taxes Collected. $37.05 Occupation Taxes " 466,25 Sewer Rent " 336.75 Pound Fees " 34.50 Bicycle Registrations 3.25 Dog Taxes 2.00 Penalties and Interest, 16;26 Total, $895.06 -000- The report of V G Skeen showcaed the following exhibits. Wire Inspection Fees, $40.30 House Rent. 12.50 Auto Registration Fee returned by Tex H'way Dept 7.70 Fines Collected, 525.50 Sanitary Collections, 421.05 Interest Overpiad Haz ver Natl Bank, Retd, 1315.78 Total, $2322.83 -000- The report of J W Nalkup, showed the following exhibits. General Enna-Bal4nce, 42167.66 Street 7598.83 St Imp " 17230.83 Sewer Fund 152.11 Park " " 5183.23 Fire Station Fund Bal, 187.45 Int & Sink " It 4126.88 Hospital Fund Overdrawn, N920.60 j Bal all Funds, 35666.09 536586.99 436586.99 -o00- Motion was made py E G Hill that the Southwestern Tel & Tel Co, be granted permission to erect telephone poles on the Forth side of Huff Ave from Brook St to the alley behind lot No 1, or on corner of Lot 17 Block 1 Southland Addition, which motion was seconded by Marvin Smith and carried. -o0o- 4 Motion was made by M J Gardner that an account in favor of A D McCowan for pound lot rent for Sept 1917 amounting to $10.00 be allowed and ordered paid, which motion was seconded by J A Ri Richolt and carried. -o0o- Marvin Smith moved that Alderman Gardner be authorized to trade the Police Department Ford for a New Ford as per his reccommendation, which motion was seconded by E G Hill and carried. -000- $ Motion was made by E G Hill that H F Robertson be paid 16.84 commission on $336.75 Sewer Rent collections, which motion was seconded by M J Gardner and carried. -o0o- There being no further business the Board of Aldermen adjourned.
