Wichita Falls, Texas, Nov 15th 1917.
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls , Texas, met
in regular session on above date for the-transaction of the
business of the City with Mayor A H Britain presiding and with
the following Aldermen present, to-wit;
M J Gardner, E G Hill, J a Hicholt,J L Lea, Jr, and Marvin Smith.
City ratty Nutt, City Clerk Skeen, City Treasurer Walkup, Assistant
Tax Collector H J Anderson and Fire Chief McClure in attendance.

Minutes of last regular meeting were read and approved.

Mr J L Meara, in behalf of the Motor Supply Co, a Corporation
composed of Mersers J A Kemp and W S Langford, came before the
Board of aldermen with bequest that the Motor Supply Co, be
9 ,. granted permission to install a Gasoline Filling Station at
the corner of Indiana -Ave and 6th Street, to be.composed..nf an
underground tank and two pumps, whereupon M J Gardner moved
that the Motor Supply Co be granted permissiab to install e
Tank and a Pump in the sidewalk on the 6th street side of the
building at 600 Ind ave. not less than ten feet back from the
property line extending along Ind Ave, and that permission be
granted to install a Pump on the Ind ave side of said building
not less that ten feet back of the property line extending
along 6th street, under the--usual provisions, viz; that the
said Motor Su ply Co is to have the work done under the
supervision of the City Engineer, save the City harmless from
any damages which may be caused by the installation of said
Gasoline Filling Station and to remove same at the request
or upon demand of the Board of Aldermen, which motion was
seconded by E G Hill and carried.

Mr Jack Taylor, in behalf of Fritz Taylor appeared before the
Board of Aldermen with request that a fart of a $25.00 fine
assessed against Fritz Taylor be suspended, explaining that
said Fritz Taylor had been fined $25.00 for violation of the
traffic ordinance, ,y10.00 of whioh fine he had paid, whereupon
J L Lea, Jr moved that Fritz Taylor be releived of the payment
of the balance of the fine, which motion was seconded by
Marvin Smith and carried.

Messers G iti Filgo and J E Ward came before the Board of Alder-
men with petition praying that they be allowed to erect a
building for buiness purposes.within the residence portion of
the city, to-wit the corner of Lamar Ave and 10th street,on
Lot No 7 Block No 185, and it appearing that they had the names of
three foprthe of_the y,1roperty owners within a radius of three
hundred feet of the center of the proposed site of said building
attached to their petition in compliace with Ordinance No 239.where-
upan.,gGaiil moved that G' a Filgo and J E Ward be granted permis-
sion to ,erect a buiidtng to"beluged as a Gasoline Filling Station
at above mentioned location, which motion was seconded by /. L`Lea
and carried.

Me:.sers G W Filgo and J E Ward made application that they be
granted permission to insatll a Gasoline Tank an der_thei;sidelvalt at
912 Lamar gve, same being on Lot No 7th of Block No 185, whereupon
M J Gardner moved that Filgo and Ward be granted permission to in-
stall a Gasoline Tank under the sidewalk at above mentioned location
uc;dor the usual provision, to-wit, that they are to have the work
done under the suoervision of the City Engineer, save the City
harmless from any dar.ages which may be caused by the placing of a
Gasoline tank under the sidewalk at said looa tiou and to remove
same at the request and demand of:,the Board of aldermen, which
motion was seconded by Mafvfn Smith and carried.

Mr Ernest McAbee made request of the Board.of..Aldermen that he
be ?ranted permission to use a part of the alley in the rear of 719
Ohio Afor the storing of building material during the erection
61 4 building at said location, whereupon J L Lea, Jr moved that
Ernest McAbee be granted permission to use 10 feet of the alley
• in the rear of No 719 Ohio Ace for the purpose of storing building
material during the erection of a building at said location, under
the usual provisions, to-wit, that he is to save theceity harmless
from any damages which may be caused by thecuse of said allay, which
motion was seconded by M J Gardner and carried.

J A Richolt moved that the action of the Mayor and Chief of
Police in employing W H Lay and W W Allen on the Police Force
be ratified, which motion was seconded by E G Hill and carried.

310.75 sewer rent collections, which motion was seconded by •
J a Richolt and carried.

The questien of the numbering of the tore rooms in the Bland-
Henderson Building on 7th street, was brought before the Board
of Aldermen by Capt Robb of the Salvation .,rmy, whereupon J A
Richolt moved that the store rooms in the Blan4GHenderson Bldg.
be numbered from Scott Ave begining with 800-2-4-6-and 8 and
that the Salvation Army Barracks be numbered 810 and 812. Vhat
the hotel across the alley be numbered 814 and the church be
numbered 816, which motion was seconded by Is: J Gardner and
serried.

E G Hill moved tnat the Sewer Line be extended from near the
Bunningberg property Grant ave to aceomodate the Haggard
property at 1904 Kemp Boulevard, under the provision that the
present owner of the Haggard property Mr Homer McGregor will
pay a sewer rental per year equal to 8, per annum on the cost
of the extension, which motion was seconded by M J Gardner
and carried.
