Min 04/15/1918 • 2) Wichita Falls, Texas, April 15hh, 1918. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in adjourned session on the above date for the transaction of the business of the city, with Mayor J.B.Marlow presiding and with the following officers present: Alderman J.F.Eeed, J.L.Lea Jr., J.M.McFall, City Attorney Mathis City 'lerk Walkup City Marshall Smith City Engineer Cooke Fire Chief McClure in attendance. The minutes of the last regular session were read and approved. - 0 0 0 - Wade H.Walker then took the oath of office, as Alderman of the city and was seated with the Board. - 0 0 o - T.E.Edwards, representing the Selden Sales and Service Co., a firm composed of J.M.Garrison, and T.E.Edwards, and doing business under the firm name of Selden °ales and Service Co., came before - ' the Board and asked permission to install a gasoline filling station on Ohio Avenue at 600,7th Street. Whereupon alderman Walker moved that the request be granted under the usual provision 0. to wit: That the said filling station be placed back on Ohio Avenue, at least fifteen feet from the property line on Seventh Street, and that the construction of said fillin#tation be done under the supervision of the City Engineer, and the City be held harmless from any and all damage that might be caused by the installation or maintenance of said Uasolind filling 'tation. and to remove same upon notice of the Board of tldermen; which motion was seconded by Alderman IJeFall and carried. - o 0 o - AZderman Lea moved that hirs. Smock be granted four days leave of absence, which motion was seconded by Alderman Walker and carried. - o 0 0 - • Policeman A.D.Bullard presented his resignation as police officer, whereupon alderman Lea move/ that his resignation be accepted, which motion was seconded by .>lderman call and carried. - 0 0 0 - There being no further business the Board of Aldermen adjourned.
