Min 05/23/1918 Wichita Falls, Texas, May 23rd,1918.
The Board of nidermen of the City of wichita `ails, Texas met
in regular session on the above date for the transaction of the
business of the city with Mayor J.B.Marlow presiding and with
and with tiie following officers present: Alderman J.L.Lea Jr.
J.M.Mcffall, lade Ii.W alker, C.E.McCutchen and City Clerk Walkup
in attendance.

The minutes of the last regular session were read and approved.

John Craig, representing the John Craig Company - a partnership
composed of-John Craig, G.L.Burnett, and D.R.M.Jones, and doing
business under the firm name of John fraig Company, came before
the Board and asked permission to4nstall a Gasoline filling
Station at 709 Indiana Avenue . Whereupon Alderman Walker moved
)-1 that the request be granted under the usual provisions to wit;
That the installation be made under the supervision of the city
engineer and that the said John Craig Co., and John Craig
G.L.Burnett, and D.R.M.Jones individually hold the city harmless
from all damages that may be caused by the installation and
maintenance of said Gasoline filling Station and to remove same
upon Notice of the Board of Aldermen which motion was seconded
by Alderman McFall, and carried.

Ordinance NO. 249
An Ordinance cummulative of other laws, defining vagrants,
declaring certain persons vagrants and providing a penalty
was on motion of Alderman Lea , seconded by Alderman McFall
put on its third reading and passed by the following yea and
nay vote : Alderman Lea, Yea; Alderman McFall, yea;
Alderman Walker, yea; Alderman McCutchen, yea. Mayor Marlow
then declared Ordinance No.249 passed on its third and final
reading by the unanimous vote of all the Aldermen of the city
present voting yea.
Ordinance No. 251
An ordinance for the regulation of the sale and use of wheat and
Wheat Products and sugar in the city of Wichita falls, and in
aid of the regulations of the Unites States Food Administration
and providing penalty for violation was on motion of aldeeman d
Walker, seconded by Alderman McCutchen, put on its second reading
and passed by the following yea and nay vote; Alderman Lea,yea;
Alderman McFall, yea; Alderman Walker, yea; Alderman UcCutchen,
yea. 'Mayor Marlow then declareed ordinance Ido, 251 passed on
its reading by the unanimous vote of ail the aldermen of
the City present voting yea.
