Min 07/25/1918 Wichita Falls, Texas, July 25, 1918.
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
met in regular session on the above date for the transaction
of the business of the city with Mayor J.B.Marlow presiding
and with the following officers present: Aldermen J.F.Reed,
J.L.Lea Jr., and C.J .McCutchen; City Attorney Mathis, City
Clerk Walkup, and City Marshall Smith in attendance.

The minutes of the last regular session were read and approved.

Alderman Reed moved that the office of aade H.Walker, alderman,
be declared vacant - Mr. Walker having been absent from the
City for more than fifteen days without leave, which motion was
seconded by Alderman Lea and carried.

Alderman Reed moved that a special election be ordered held
on Saturday August 24th, 1918, for the purpose of electing
an Alderman to fill out the unexpired term of Wade H.Walker,
which motion was seconded by Alderman Lea and carried.

ELECTION ORDER
It is ordered by the Board of Aldermen of the city of Wichita Falls
Texas, that a special election be held in the city of Wichita `ails
Texas, on August 24th, A.D., 1918 for the purpose of electing
one Alderman to fill out the unexpired term of Wade H.Walker
and the following named persons are hereby appointed to hold said
election:
