Wichita Falls, Texas, "ugust 15, 1918.
The Board of Aldermen of the city of Wichita Falls, Texas,
met in regular session on the above date for the transaction
of the business of the city, with Alderman J.F.Reed, ::a;or
pro-tem presiding and with the following officers present:
Aldermen.J.L.Lea Jr., J.M.McFall and C.E.McCutchen; City
Attorney Mathis, City Clerk Walkup and City Marshall Smith
in attendance.

The minutes of the last regular session were read -and approved.

W.W.Cobb, representing Willis and Cobb, a firm composed of
H.J.Willis and W.W.Cobb, came before the Board and asked
permission to enstall a gasoline filling station in front
of Lot 10, in Block 195, and in front of Lot 4, Block 7,
-` Barwise Addition. Whereupon Alderman McFallmoved that said
+ recuestbe granted under the usual provisions, namely; that
the work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer
$f and that the said Willis and Cobb - J.H.Willis and W.W.Cobb
individually - their successors, administrators, and assigns
hold the city harmless from any damages that may be caused
by the installation and maintenance of said gasoline filling
station, and to remove same upon notice of toe Board of
Aldermen and to replace sidewalks in proper condition
which motion was seconded by alderman LcCutchen and carried.

Alderman Lea moved that the city Clerk be instructed to
notify the Wichita Falls "ater ' ompany, and the :forth ..
Texas Gas Company that they must not open streets for any
purpose until after they procure permission to do so from the
City Clerk , and to notify all persons by published notice
to procure permits before tearing up the streets for any
purpose which motion was seconded by Alderman McFall and carried

D.J.Carithers came before the Board and asked that Sewer
connection be made with his property at 702 „offord atreet
Whereupon Alderman a'call moved that the matter be referred
to Alderman Reed for action and report, which motion was
seconded by Alderman bea and carried.

Alderman Lea moved that City Clerk ask the Wichita Falls water
Company to report on petition for water service on Walnut
Street, which motion was seconded by Alderman McFall and carried

Miss Opal Hughes filed her resignation as Assistant Food and
714"4" b� Dairy Inspector to take effect September, 1st, 1L18.
G ,,y Whereupon Alderman McCutchen moved that the resignation be
,, -" - accepted which motion was seconded by Alderman Lea and carried.

alderman Mclall moved that the City's bills be paid as per
O.K. of the Finance Committee, which motion was seconded by
Alderman Lea and carried.
