Minutes of the last regular session were read and approved.

The Board then proceeded to canvas the returns of the Election
held on August 24, I9I8 for the election of one Alderman to fill out
the unexpired term of W.H.Walker, and announced the result as fol-

Alderman Reed moved that M.A.Busdy be declared

Mr.Bundy then took the Oath of office, and was seatedb the

Alderman Reed submitted contract with Dr.Meridth as assistant
Food and Dairy Inspector. Whereupon Alderman MoCutchen moved
%kat the contract be approved, which motion was seccOned by Alder-
man Lea, and carried.

Alderman McCutehen moved that the City Clerk issue warrants
to Election Officers for their services for holding Election Aug.
24,I9I8, which motion was seconded by Alderman Lea and carried.

Alderman Lea moved that Joe Adams be allowed pay for time
lost by being kit by street car, which motion was seconded by
Alderman Mogutehen and carried.

Alderman Reed moved that a committee be appointed to investi-
gate the purchase of a car for the Fire Department, which motion
was seconded by Alderman McCutchen and carried; whereupon Mayor
Marlow appointed the following commitee: Aldermen Reed, Bundy
and Lea and Fire Chief McClure.

Alderman Reed moved that.nundy be granted one week leave of
absence, which motion was seconded by Alderman Lea and carried.

Alderman Lea moved that the salary of Night Chief of Police
$e raised $I5,00 per month, and the salary of all Patrolmen be
raised Twenty Dollars per month commencing Sept.I,I9I8, and that
Patrolmen work twelve hours shift instead of eimht hours as now
in force, which motion was seconded by Alderman Reed and carried.
