The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas met in regular
session on the above date for the transaction of the business of the city
with Mayor J. B. Marlow presiding, and with the following officers present.
Aldermen J. L. Lea Jr., J. M. McFall, C. E. McCutchen and M. A. Bundy,
Acting City attorney Weeks, City Clerk Walkup and City Marshal Smith in
attendance.

Minutes of the last regular and called session were read and approved.

Alderman Lea moved that where certificates of former Tax Collectors to abr.
streets State that all taxes have been paid, that present tax collector be
authorized to cancel taxes wnthe rolls, refering to such certificates, whk h
motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried.

Alderman McFall moved that City Clerk Walkup be granted one week leave of
absence commencing November 10th, 1918 which motion was seconded by Alder-
man IcCutchen and carried.

Alderman McFall moved that the city Clerk be instructed to issue warrants in
payment of medicine and Nurse hire at the temporary hospital at the Cdurt
House upon the order of the Mayor, and that the thanks of this Board be ex-
tended Mayor Marlow and Family for valuable assistance rendered the inmates
of said hospital which motion was seconded by Alderman McCutchen and carried.

Alderman McCutchen moved that Aldermen Bundy be requested to prepare a re-
quisition blank form for the use of the city in making purchases, which
motion was seconded by Alderman Lea and carried.

Alderman McFall moved that Mrs. Smock be sent to Austin to attend the meeting
of the State Food and Drug Department on October 29th inst. at the expense
of the city, which motion was seconded by Alderman Lea and carried.

The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
