The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls Texae,met in regular
session on the above date for the transaction of the business of the City
with Mayor J,B,Marlow presiding and with the following officers present,
Aldermen J,F,Reed,C,E,McCutchen,and M,A,Bundy.
City Atty Mathis,City Clerk Walkup.City Marshal Smith,Fire Chief McClure,
And Acting City Engineer Donald in attendance.

Minutes of the last regular session were read and approved.

R,A,Medlock,representing W,W,Swarts and G,Clint Wood,came before the Board
and asked that the said Swarts and Wood be permitted to use fifteen feet of
the street in front of the Swartswood Building to be erected on 6th Street
and Scott Ave,for the purpose of storing material for the erection of said
Building,whereupon Alderman Reed moved that said request be granted under th
the usual provisions To Wit: That the said W,W,Swarts and G,Clint Wood,their
Administrators,Successors and Assigns,hold the City harmless from any and all
damages that may be caused by the storing of said material. Which motion was
seconded by Aldreman Bundy and carried.

H,E,Bachman,Representing Bachman and Goodwin a partnership composed of
H,E,Bachman and W,J,Goodwin,came before the Beard and asked permission to
use fifteen feet of the street in front of 1003 Indiana Avenue, for the
purpose of storing material for the erection of a building at 1003 Indiana
Avenue,whereupon Alderman Bundy moved that said request be granted under the
usual provisions To Wit: that the said Bachman and Goodwin and H,E,Bachman,
and W,J,Goodwin,individually hold the City harmless from any and all damages
that may be caused by the storing of said material, which motion was second
by Alderman McCutchen and carried.

Mrs W,R,DeLaunius came before the Board and asked for street crossing at
third and Burnett Streets,whereupon Alderman Bundy moved that the matter be
refered to Alderman Lea with power to act,which motion was seconded by
Alderman McCutchen and carried.

Alderman Bundy moved that the matter of Sewer wawawati extentions be refered
to Alderman Reed with power to act,which motion was seconded by Alderman
McCutchen and carried.

The Wichita Hotel Company Asked the Board for permission to use fifteen feet
of the Streets at the Southwest corner of eighthStreet and Scott Avenue,for
the purpose of erecting tool house and storing material for the erection of
Hotel at that place,whereupon Alderman McCutchen moved that the request be9Ya0A
under the usual provisions To Wit; that the said Hotel Co txxttx its legal
Representatives,Administrators,Successors and Assigns,shall hold the City
Harmless from any and all damages that may be caused by the erection of said
tool house or the storing said material, which motion was seconded by
Alderman Bundy and carried.

C,R,Lambert representing The Whitfield Co,a Partnership composed of
C,R,Lambert and J,W,Harris,came before the Board and Arid asked permission to
use fifteen feet of the streets at northwest corner of eighth street and
Scott Avenue, for the purpose of erecting tool house and storing material
for the erection of building at that place,whereupon Alderman Reed moved
that the request be granted under the usual provisions To Wit: that the said
The Whitfield Co, and C,R,Lambert and J,W,Harris individually,their legal
Representatives,Administrators,Successors and Assigns,hold the City harmless
from any and all damages that may be caused by the erection of said tool
or storing said material,which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy,
and carried.

Alderman Bundy moved that the City pay R,E,Huff,the sum of Four Thousand
Five hundred ( p4.500.00.) Dollars,part payment of Southland Sewer System,
which motion was seconded by Alderman Reed and carried.

Alderman Reed moved that the account of H,F,Robertson,for v 244.17.
commission on $4,883.50. sewer collections for January 1919,be paid,
which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried.

City Attorney Mathis submitted to the Board a proposition from The Ocean
Accident & Guaranty Corporation,Limited,agreeing to settle its account of
;'I490.64.for 50% or $245.32. the City to pay twenty five Dollars Attorneys
fee,whereupon Alderman Reed moved that the proposition be accepted,and that
warrant issue for payment of same which motion was seconded by Alderman
Bundy and carried.

Alderman Heed moved that the Salary of R,W,Morgan,be raised to $125.00. per
manth,and that the salary of W,A,Barker, be raised to $100.00. per month,
both raises to take effect February first 1919. which motion was seconded
by Alderman Bundy and carried.

M,D,Walker presented to the Board a petition eigned by himself and seven
others asking that tenth street be paved from Grant nveT1ue west to the end
of tenth street5whereupon Alderman McCutchen moved that the petition be
received and filed which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried.
