March 6, 1919 The board of Aldermen of the City of "ichita Falls, Texas met in regular session on the above date, for the transaction of the business of the City,with Alderman J. . Reed, Mayor Protem pre- siding, and with the following of jeers present, Alderman J.M. McFall, J.L. Lea Jr., C.E. McCutchen and M.A. Bandy, City Attorney Mathis, City Clerk Walkup, City Marshal Smith, Fire Chief McClure, and acting City Engineer Donald, in attendance. O 0 0 Minutes of regular session February 20th and call session February 24th, and 25th, and regular session February 27, 1919, were read and apporved. O 0 0 Alderman Lea maraca that Park Supt. Lancaster be permitted to raise the wages of men working on the Parks, .25c per day, said raise to commence the first day of March 1919, which motion was seconded by Alderman MoDall, and carried. 0 0 0 Alderman Lea moved that alderman Reed be autuorized to investigate the purchase of a wagon for the use of the Park Supt. , with power to act, which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried. o 0 0 ORDINANCE N0 268. AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING FORM OF BOND, :IXING THE PLACE OF PAYMENT AND AUTHORIZIND THE EXECUTION OF SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS BONDS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,TEXA S;FOR' STREET IMPROVEMENT PUi,POS'^S, AUTHORIZED BY AN ELECTION HELD FEBRUARY 15, 1919. AND , MAKING PROVISION FOR A TAX FOR THE PaMMENT OF THE•PRINCIESL AND INTEREST THEREOF. Robertson Ex-Assessor and Tax Collector, and that o� sUita I e resalutions be prepared for adoption by the board of Aldermen, which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried. o 0 o Alderman Bundy moved that the sai rkes of all..etatdeyeepaofat:he Fire Department be raised $10.00 per month, said raise to comm- ence March 1, 1919, which motion was seconded by Alderman McFall, and carried. o 0 o Alderman McFall moved that the election order hereatofore passed by the board of Aldermen far the election of officers at the next general election April 1, 1919 be amended so as to leave out the election of the City Engineer, which motion was seconded by Alder- man McCutohen, and carried. O 0 0 Alderman McFall moved that City Marshal. Smith be granted four days leave of absense, commencing Saturday morning March the eighth, which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy, and carried. 4 • ORDINANCE NO 259 AN ORDINANCE GDINGAND GRANTING UNTO THE WICHITA FALLS WATER COLTANY, ITS SUCCESSORS, ASSIGNS AND LSSEES, THE RIGHT TO INCREASE THEIR WATER RATES AND REPEALING SO MUCH OF ORDINANCE NO 18 OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AS'REFERS TO WATER RATES. Was on motion of Alder- man Lea seconded by Alderman McFall, put on its first reading and passed by the following yea and nay vote, Alderman Lea yea, Alderman McFall yea, Alderman Mc- Cutchen yea, and Alderman Bundy yea. Mayor Reed then declared ordinance No 259 passed on its first reading by the unanimous vote of all the Aldermen of the City present voting yea. The Board then proceeded to check and O.S.
