The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls Texas,met in regular
session on the above date for the transaction of the business of the City,
with Mayor J,B,Marlow presiding,and with the following officers present,
Aldermen J,M,M0Fall,C,E,McCutchen,and M,A,Bundy,
City Atty Mathis,City Clerk Walkup,City Marshal Smith,Fire Chief McClure
and Acting City Engineer Donald in attendance.

Alderman McCutchen moved that the City furnish E,P,Stone one spool of wire
for the purpose of erecting a fence between the Incinerator Plant and land
owned by Mr Stone,He to furnish Posts and erect the fenee,which motion was
seconded by Alderman McFall and carried.

J,A,Knight,Represening Self Brothers,a Partnership,composed of H,P and S,S,
Self,came before the Board and asked that the said Self Brothers be
permitted to use 20 feet of the street at the south east corner of Scott
Avenue and tenth street,running 140 feet on Scott averae,for the purpose of
MMIXI Storing material for the erection of building at that point,
Whereupon Alderman McFall moved that said request be granted under the usual
provisions,To Wit:That the said Self Brothers.XII& their legal representativet
Administrators,Successors and Assigns,hold the City harmless from any damaged
that may be caused by stori6gaaiii said material.

Alderman MoCutchen moved that the City Books be Audited from April first
1918 to March _5,1st 1919. Inclusive,which motion was seconded by Alderman
Bundy and carried.

Alderman Bundy moved G SReid,be employed to Audit the City Books at $15.00.
per day not to exceed 1360.00. for the entire job,which motion was seconded
by Alderman McFall,and carried.

W,Y,Hammack,came before the Board and asked permission to use fifteen feet
of the street at the corner of fifth street and Ohio Ave,Also fifteen feet
of the street at the corner of tenth street and Lamar Ave, for the purpose
of storing material for the erection of buildings at those points,
whereupon Alderman McFall moved that the request be granted under the usual
provisions, To wit: That the said W,Y,Hammack his Administrators,Successors
and Assigns,hold the City Harmless from any and all damages that may be
caused by storing said material,which motion was seconded by Alderman
McCutchen,and carried.

Commission on $650.25. Sewer collections for February 1919 be paid,which
motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy,and carried.

Wood Block paving on seventh street between Ohio and Indiana Avenues be paid
which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy,and carried.

AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING FORM OF BOND, FIXING THE PLACE OF PAYMENT AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SEVENTY FIVE THOUSAND R0XMXXAKXXXKKX91TXX"
DOLLARS BONDS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,TEXAS, FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT
PURPOSES, AUTHORIZED BY AN ELECTION HELD FEBRUARY 15th,1919, AND MAKING
PROVISION FOR A TAX FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST THEREOF,
Was on motion of Alderman McCutchen seconded by Alderman McFall,put on its
third reading and passed by the following yea and nay vote,
Alderman MoFall,Yea, Alderman McCutchen,Yea,and Alderman Bundy,Yea,
Mayor Marlow then declared ordinance no 258 passed on its third and final
reading by the unanimous vote of all the Aldermen of the City present
voting Yea.

A Petition signed by G,D,Anderson and fifteen others,asking that Denver
Avenue be paved from seventh to tenth street,was presented to the Board,
whereupon Alderman MoCutchen moved that the petition be received and filed,
which motion was seconded by Alderman McFall and carried.

A RESOLUTION,upon the death of H,F,Robertson,late Tax Assessor and Collector
for the City of Wichita Falls,Texas, was read before the Board,whereupon
Alderman McCutchen moved that the resolution be adopted,and spread upon the
minutes,and that a copy be furnished the family of the deceased, which motion
was seconded by Alderman McFall,and carried.

RESOLUTION:
AHEREAS, Almighty God, In his infinite wisdom,. has taken from his labors,
our City Tax Assessor and Collector, H,F,Robertson, and
Whereas, Our deceased Tax Assessor and Collector,by his faithful and honest
discharge of his official duties,by his courtesy,his willingness to
accommodate,and his happy temperament,had come to be an indispensable City
official, and
WHEREAS, He has filled his office for many years,keeping all records in
connection with his work in admirable form, and
WHEREAS, He was not only an accurate and efficient offieer,but a kind and
indulgent Husband,a Citizen who worked,always, for the betterment and
improvement of the City,
NOW THEREFORE: Be it resolved,that we,the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the
City of Wichita Falls,Texas,attest to the true worth of our deceased City
Tax Assessor and Collector,and extend to his family our deepest sympathy,
in this their hour of trial,and order a copy of these resolutions spread
upon our minutes,and a copy thereof furnished his family,so that those
who come after us may know the Love and Esteem in which he was held by us.

Alderman McFall moved that the City Clerk be paid the sum of Thirty five
Dollars per month(commencing March first 1919,) out of the sewer fund,for
keeping sanitary Books,receiving and receipting for sanitary collections,
accounting for and reporting same,which motion was seconded by Alderman
Bundy,and carried.

Alderman Bundy moved that the Wichita Falls,water Company be requested to
install fire plugs at corner of Elizabteh and Francis Streets,and at corner
of fifteenth Street and Grace Avenue,which motion was seconded by Alderman
McFall,and carried. o

Alderman McFall moved that the City Bills be paid as per O,S,of the finance
Committee,which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy,and carried.
