Wiohita Falls,Texas,March 27th 1919.
The Board of Alderman of the City of Wichita Falls Texas,met in regular see
session on the above date for the transaction of the business of the City
with Mayor J,B,Marlow presiding,andwith the following officers present,
Alderman J,L,Lea jr,J,M,McFall,and C,E,MoCutchen, City Atty Mathis,
City Clerk Walkup,City Marshal Smith,Fire Chief McClure and acting City
Engineer Donald,in attendance.

Minutes of the last regular session were raed and approved.

T,T,T,Reece,came before the Board and asked permission to use fifteen feet
of the street at the corner of ninth street and scott avenue,for the purpos
of storing material for the erection of a building at that point,
whereupon Alderman McFall moved that the request be granted under the
usual provisions to wit : that the said T,T,T,Reeee NIXIXTNITMIXXXXIMMAX
his Administrators,Successors and Aseigns,shall hold the City harmless
from any and all damages that may be caused by the storing of said material
which motion was seconded by Alderman Lea,and carried.

G,E,Zimmerman,representing G,E,Zimmerman & Co,Contractors, A Partnership
composed of G,E,Zimmerman and B,F,Recks,came before the Board and asked
that they be permited to use fifteen feet of Travis Avenue and ten feet of
ninth street at the corner of Travis Avunue and ninth street,for the
purpose of storing material for the erection of a building at that point,
whereupon Alderman Lea moved that the request be granted under the usual
provisions,To wit: that the said G,E,Zimmerman & Co, G,E,Zimmerman and
B,F,Recks individually,aka±± Their legal representatives,Administrators,
Successors and Assigns,shall hold the City harmless from any and all —
damages that may be caused by the storing of said material,which motion
was seconded by Alderman McFall and carried.

J,W,Harris,representing Whitfield Company,a partnerehip,composed of
J,q,Harris and C,R,Lambert,Contractors,came bofore the Board and asked
that they be permited to use fifteen feet of the street of the corner of
thirteenth street and Ohio avenue,for the purpose of storing material for
the erction of a building at that point,whereupon Alderman MoCutohen moved
that the request be granted under the usual provisions,To wit:
that the said Whitfield Campany,and J,d,R.arris and C,R,Lambert individually
shall hold the City harmless from any and all damages that may be caused
by the storing said material,whioh motion was seconded by Alderman Lea,

ORDINANCE NO 260.
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES HERETOFORE PASSED PROHIBITING
THE ERECTION,MAINTENANCE AND USE OF TENTS WITHIN THE FIRE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,TEXAS,was on motion of Alderman McFall,seconded by
Alderman Lea,put on its first reading and passed en- its-T.-Prat loading by
the following yea and nay vote,Alderman McFall yea, AldermanMoCutchen yea,
Alderman Lea yea, Mayor Marlow then declared Ordinance No 260 passed on its
first reading by the unanimous vote of all the Aldermen of the City present
voting yea.

ORDINANCE NO 261,
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 135 RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF FIRE
MARSHAL,AND PROVIDING FOR A CIVIL ACTION AGAINST ANY PERSON OR PERSONS
RESPONSIBLE OR PARTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY FIRE OR FIRES IN THE CITY OF'
Wichita Falls,Texas,Was on motion of Alderman McCutchen seconded by
Alderman McFall,put on its first reading and passed by the following yea
and nay vote,Alderman Lea yea,Alderman McFall yea,and Alderman McCutchen
yea, Mayor Marlow then declared Ordinance no 261 passed on its first '
reading by the unanimous vote of all the Aldermen of the City present
voting yea.

Alderman MoCutohen moved that the City Clerk be instructed to advertise
for sale seventy five thousand (05.000.00.) Dollars, City of Wichita Falls
Texas, Street Improvement Bonds,at the City Clerks Office at the City Hall
in the City of Wichita Falls,Texas,On Wednesday the 16th day of April A,D,
1919,terms of sale to be,Sealed bids accompanied by certified check for
five per cent of the amount of the bonds, which motion was seconded by
Alderman Mcfall,and carried. 0 m 0
