The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls,Texas,met in regular j
Session on the above date for the transaction of the business of the City
with Mayor J,B,Marlow presiding',and with the following officers pesent
Aldermen J,L,Lea jr,J,M,McFall,M,A,Bundy and C,E,McCutchen,
City Attorney Mathis,City Clerk Walkun,Fire Chief McClure City Marshal
Smith,and acting City Engineer Donald in attendance. 1

I ORDINANCE NO 262,
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE BUSINESS OF ITINERANT VENDORS OF GOODS,
WARES AHD MERCHANDISE,AND PROVIDING A PENALTY, was on motion of Alderman Lea,
seconded by Alderman McFall,put on its first reading and passed by the
following yea and nay vote,Alderman Lea Yea,Alderman McFall Yea,Alderman
McCutchen Yea,and Alderman Bundy Yea, Mayor Marlow then declared
ordinance no 262 passed on its first reading by the unanimous vote of
all the Aldermen of the City present,voting Yea.

ORDINANCE NO 260,
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES HERETOFORE PASSED PROHIBITIId
THE ERECTION MAINTENANCE AND USE OF TENTS WITHIN THE FIRE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,TEXAS,Wason motion of Alderman McFall seconded by
Alderman Lea put on its second reading and passed by the following yea an O1,
nay vote, Alderman Lea Yea,Alderman McFall Yea, Alderman MoCutchen Yea,
and Alderman Bundy Yea, Mayor Marlow then.declared ordinance no 260
passed on its second reading by the unanimous vote of all the Aldermen
of the City present voting Yea.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 135 RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF FIRE
MARSHAL AND PROVIDING FOR A CIVIL ACTION AGAINST ANY PERSON OR PERSONS
RESPONSIBLE OR PARTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY FIRE OR FIRES IN THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS TEXAS, was on motion of Alderman LEA seconded by Alderman
McFall,put on its second reading.and passed by the following yea and nay
vote,Alderman Lea Yea, Aldermen McFall Yea, Alderman McCutchen Yea and
Alderman Bundy Yea, Marlow then declared ordinance no 261 passed on its
second reading by the unanimous vote of all the Aldermen of the City
Present voting yea.

ORDINANCE NO 255.
AN ORDINANCE GEANTING TO THE WICHITA VALLEY RAILWWAY COMPANY A RAILWAY
CORPORATION,WHOSE PRINCIPAL OFFICE IS IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
WICHITA COUNTY,TEXAS,A FRANCHISE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDING OR
STITCH TRACK ON ALONG AND ACROSS,CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS IN THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS,TEXASY was on motion of Alderman Lea seconded by
Alderman McCutohen,put on its third reading and passed by the following
yea and nay vote,Alderman Lea Yea,Alderman McFall Yea, Alderman
McCutchen Yea and Alderman Bundy Yea, Mayor Marlow then declared
ordinance no 255 passed on its third and final reading by the unanimous
, vote of all the Aldermen of the City present voting yea.

J,B,Maxey,came before the Board and asked permission to use fifteen feet
of the street at 816 and 818 Scott avenue,for the' purpose of storing
material for the eredtion of a building at that point, whereupon
Alderman McFall moved that the request be granted under the usual
provisions To wit:.that the said J,B,Maxey, his administrators,successors
and assigns,hold the City harmless from any and all damages that may be
caused by the storing of said material, which motion was seconded by
Alderman MoCutchen and carried.

Mayor Marlow appointed Alderman Bundy a committee of one to investigate I
an application for office room for, private detective agency.
